The Whole World Knows I'm a Paper Character

* Yun Yanqiu was a hidden NPC in the open-world game Wheel of Fate. According to official statistics, out of the game's billions of players worldwide, only eight had ever reached 100 affinity with him and earned the Best Friend title. Standing beneath a clear sky, Yun Yanqiu finished reading his own wiki page and confirmed that he had transmigrated. He planned to head to the five-star hotel next door and book a room for a year. [Where'd you get the money?] "The affinity gifts players gave me." [...What the hell, why do these players give you everything?] Their chat with the System took a while. When Yun Yanqiu came back to himself, he found a crowd gathered around him. "Is Wheel of Fate running some kind of event? Where did they find this divine cosplayer?" "Damn, now I remember staying up all night to watch the stars with Yun Yanqiu for five hours and ending up with zero affinity..." "Don't act like you don't appreciate it. I can't even get a chance to spend time with him." "I don't care, handsome guy, add me on WeChat! Don't make me get on my knees and beg you qwq" Yun Yanqiu: "Sorry, I have something else to do today. Maybe next time." "There it is! The scumbag's classic line! You say that every time and break our innocent-player hearts!" * Yun Yanqiu, the hardest NPC to win over in history, was famous among NPCs as well as players for being an untouchable flower on a high peak. After another Boss who loved him but couldn't have him took a fall because of him, the Boss laid a vicious curse on him. To break the curse, Yun Yanqiu came to the real world. [I used to think that because you're so hard to win over, players must be lamenting all the time. I never expected them all to be masochists. They say they hate you, Yun Yanqiu, but their bodies are honest: they still vote for you. And you're all alone in this world, so you can only rely on yourself... Wait, who are you messaging?] "My best friend. Go on, I'm listening. You just said I'm all alone, and then what?" [...I'll leave you to it.] Core theme: Sincerity in, sincerity out.
