[The reading guide contains spoilers for the entire autumn performance of Jack Jeanne, so please read selectively.]
“If you were going to die tomorrow, what would you most want to do?”
“Most want to?”
“Something you would do even if you had to become a monster to do it.”
“Hmm... If I'm with Figaro, then I don't mind dying.”

◆Reading Guide◆
① This is a continuation of the autumn performance in JACK JEANNE. It is my ideal ending, a bad ending, with a happy-ending follow-up available to read if you like.
② To celebrate the March 13 otome game incident, when the NS version of JJ topped the sales charts in Hong Kong, I'm bringing out the leg I wrote for myself two years ago for everyone to enjoy. I made the cover myself too! The art was commissioned, and the rest of the materials are game CGs.
③ Those who haven't played the game might not understand, so here's a brief summary of what came before:
The story takes place on an island where the dead turn into monsters. The only living person on the island is a girl named Mary Jane, a dollmaker who leads an unrestrained but lonely life. A group of ghosts who hold nightly revels occupy an abandoned church. Mary longs to befriend them and dreams about it all the time, but she's too shy and timid to approach them. To have a proper excuse to knock on the door of their gathering, Mary pours her heart and soul into making a special doll named Jacob. She succeeds in befriending the monsters alongside Jacob. Meanwhile, Charles and Figaro, twin brothers who have depended on each other since childhood and harbor a deep hatred for monsters, are elite members of the monster-hunters' association. They accept a mission to go to the island and eliminate every monster there.
The twins make friends with Mary to achieve this goal, but she grew up on the island and can't accept that they intend to kill her friends. She fights the twins to protect the monsters. In the chaos of battle with the ghosts, Charles falls into the icy sea while protecting Figaro. While Figaro frantically searches for his older brother by the shore, Mary and her ghost companions board the monster hunters' ship and leave the island, beginning a truly free life of adventure.
The twins, soaked through when they return from the shore, can only wait on the island with pale faces for help to arrive...
④ JJ is the best! I hope everyone will play JJ!
⑤ Feel free to talk to me about the game! But it's been a long time since I played, and I tried hard to forget the story so I could play it again, so I might not remember the details very well...
p.s. My apologies to Jane House, who doesn't have a picture on the character card! I can only use the puppy ghost...
p.s.s. This is a completely free work, written out of love. Please don't rate it. If you do rate it, I'll only accept five stars, so there's no need to rate it. (If you deliberately give it a low rating, I'll change it to subscription-only.) Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading!
Theme: Love can overcome anything.
