Absolute Empathy (GB)

[GB Warning!]

"What connects Hell and the human world is something called the Game Zone."

Over the past hundred years, strange incidents known as "urban legends" have multiplied at an alarming rate, and they've become far more believable than they used to be.

Sadly, these aren't stories.

They're warnings left behind by those who failed to escape the Game Zone.

Qu Mubai is the gatekeeper of the Game Zone.

For reasons unknown, the genetic code of humanity worldwide collapsed, leaving everyone with something missing.

Only a few "lucky ones" escaped unharmed.

Qu Mubai's "defect" is also his supernatural ability.

"Absolute Empathy"

He can experience any human emotion as if it were his own, but as a result, he has almost lost the ability to feel emotions of his own.

To cope, he acts cold and does his best to keep others from affecting him.

As a result, no one in the Game Zone knows that their gatekeeper is, in fact, someone with an extremely serious defect.

Xi Ling has been Qu Mubai's girlfriend for three years.

Xi Ling becoming his girlfriend was an accident.

She was a young woman he happened to find after one of his missions. Under certain circumstances, he let this completely blank slate into his life.

For reasons unknown, but knowing that "Qu Mubai will not feel Absolute Empathy toward Xi Ling," Xi Ling pursued him.

So Qu Mubai agreed.

What Qu Mubai didn't know was just how seriously mistaken his understanding of this was.

An unconventional sweet romance

P.S. This really isn't just an excuse to add steamy scenes to the plot.

Theme: It's not about wanting or not wanting. It's about whether you can or can't, and there is only one choice
