[Crime Investigation] Bound in Chains

Synopsis [Completely revising the full text] Two years ago, the world’s top criminal, Silver Fox, was "confirmed dead." Half a year later, a "volunteer police officer" bearing a string of digits as a code appeared out of nowhere, seeking a "departed soul" who no longer existed in this world. About the couple: "I never take responsibility for anything, but I’d shoulder the whole world for you." "You brought the beast that had fallen into the abyss back into the world, but you also forged a cage with your own body." Their first meeting: "Kindhearted Volunteer Cop": "You don’t look much like a police officer." A certain parachuted-in deputy team leader, a master of roasting everyone: "You don’t look much like a criminal, either." "A pleasant exchange of greetings." Later... They ate their words. The author is a fan of sweet romances, but there’s no guarantee of sweetness. The writing is a little goofy, so enjoy without worry. No biased point of view, equal screen time, and they take turns being on top. Please mind the tags. A parachuted-in deputy leader of the Special Case Unit, whose talent for roasting people (and courting disaster) is directly proportional to his deductive skills, who loves boldly and is shamelessly self-adoring × a highly intelligent criminal who is ruthless and laconic, keeps every promise, is skilled at disguises, and has no sense of security. Theme: Changing a path that was already set in stone, I came for you.
