I Was Born From the Readers' Resentment!

[Unlimited comments are now open!] Upcoming 1: I’m So Normal I’m Practically a BUG (Original, no romance) Upcoming 2: I Draw the Undercover Card Every Round (Infinite-flow, BG) >>> [Blurb] Mr. God has a problem. Once, he was an obscure god with no shrine to his name, born from human wishes. He was a bona fide calamity god, but he had risen above his origins and had no desire to do evil. Unfortunately, he was at the bottom of the eight million gods, and finding even one divine instrument willing to moonlight for him was next to impossible. None of that matters, though. All he wants is to write novels in peace. He’ll create works that satisfy his believers and lead the decaying literary world back to glory! Most importantly, he’ll win over more believers through sheer talent and have them build him a shrine of his own! But can someone explain why he keeps getting stronger? Oh, right. He forgot to introduce himself. His name is “Great Author,” a god born from readers’ resentment toward authors. A remarkable author has appeared recently. His prose is excellent, he isn’t afraid to innovate, he updates diligently, and he never abandons a story. At first glance, he seems to have nothing but good qualities. And yet every novel he writes is such a terrible mess it could give you a brain hemorrhage! Abrupt endings! Absurd plot twists! Misleading blurbs! Shoving in his own agenda! Characters acting completely out of character! Inconsistent tone! Incomprehensible nonsense! He’s guilty of all seven deadly sins of authorship! No one knows whether he’s deliberately taking revenge on society or simply can’t tell how bad his writing is. Either way, he merrily starts new stories one after another, leaving more and more innocent readers emotionally scarred. And yet he flourishes in the literary world as if he had divine assistance. His books are flying off the shelves, and he’s racked up adaptation rights for manga, audio dramas, films, and more. He’s even been named the most popular bestselling author of the 21st century. Who on earth is reading these terrible novels!? A certain Special Grade jujutsu sorcerer: Aren’t you curious whether they can get any worse? A certain Port Mafia member: His stories are strange, but he’s a good person. A certain divine instrument: Not one of you is getting away! A certain Black X gang leader: I don’t want to read this! I’m being forced! Save the readers! Save the literary world! We beg the heavens to smite this author and send him on his way! Great Author: ? Busy writing. Do not disturb. || Please Read Beforehand || 1. No romance. The character design is on the cover: an ancient relic over a thousand years old in the body of a little kid. 2. Contains a little fiction within the fiction. Any kind of terrible writing could show up. The protagonist’s creative atrocities and artistic principles have nothing to do with the author (disclaimer) (maximum survival instinct). 3. Before reading the protagonist’s work, try repeating “He writes terrible novels” ten times. The protagonist’s mind may be just as abnormal as his writing. 4. The gods are based on the Five Yuan Gods. You don’t need to know them to follow the story. 5. Lighthearted, anything-goes style. The plot is heavily altered, with lots of original worldbuilding. OOC warning. * * * [Upcoming Story Blurb 1] I’m So Normal I’m Practically a BUG The world is getting weirder and weirder. The day after heroically sacrificing himself to save the world, the hero is nonchalantly selling jianbing outside a school. The day after graduating from military academy and piloting a mech through the starry universe, someone is summoned back to school and handed a copy of Five Years of College Entrance Exams and Three Years of Practice Tests. And some people go from being called “Leiner Brady” one second to being collectively renamed “Ma Yingyong” the next. No one remembers that his real name is Bage. He’s the only one who realizes these changes make no sense. Bage stands by the window, gazing at the hero squad dancing in the plaza in the distance. How can he get the world back on track? A forum launches a collaborative writing event. The theme is hero stories. It begins on a mysterious magical continent, where a hero sets out on a journey to save the world. Someone thinks that’s too cliché and writes in a plot where the hero comes back from the dead to become a street vendor. The writers who continue the story follow suit. Everyone lets their imagination run wild, determined to come up with the most unexpected plot twist ever. But then they discover an uncontrollable BUG. [Who keeps writing Bage into the story?] [The theme is hero stories. Stay on topic!] [I already named the background characters, so why did someone change them all to Bage again?] [The world is made of Bage.jpg] After reading every accusation against him, the ever-present culprit smiled and typed a line [That’s right. The world is made of BUGs.] * [Upcoming Story Blurb 2] I Draw the Undercover Card Every Round Cen Chuxin is chosen to play in the live-action version of the large-scale survival game Who’s the Undercover?
