The National Team's Boy Band Debuts!

[My serial novel, We're a Boy Band and We're Also Saviors!, is now available. Take a look! Blurb at the bottom.] Blurb for this novel As a fourth-year police academy student, Qiao Huan's internship assignment is to go undercover at an entertainment company and gather evidence that its parent company is evading taxes, exploiting employees, and more. To the outside world, he's a lazy trainee who lives for free meals and has no hope of debuting. But... his roommates are even weirder than he is. The first one runs five kilometers every day with a weighted pack, getting fit come rain or shine. The second hears the wake-up call and springs into action, making his bed so square it could be mistaken for a block of tofu. The third writes code every day, and every so often Alipay announces, “500,000 yuan received.” Not one of them wants to get famous. Does that make any sense? It isn't until they somehow debut as a group that Qiao Huan realizes: Every single member of this group is undercover! As undercover agents, they really don't want to be famous. On a crime-solving variety show, they draw on their extensive theoretical knowledge to point out flaws in the program from every angle and share tips for staying safe in daily life. The audience: Wow, I learned so much. On an outdoor variety show, they stay out of the camera's way, take on all the dirty, exhausting physical work, and promote the protection of wild plants and animals along the way. The audience: This group is so genuine and unpretentious! On a music variety show, they politely turn down suggestive hit songs and improvise a song themed around love of country. The audience: These guys are so wholesome! Scandals abound in the entertainment industry, but no matter how hard people try, they can't find a single black mark on this boy band. Every member is said to be a model citizen, and the group is supposedly impossible to cancel. The academy directors: Thank you for your outstanding contributions to ideological and cultural work. Here's your delayed graduation certificate. Keep it up! The group members: We really don't want to get any more famous [tired smile.jpg] * Primarily a feel-good entertainment-industry story, with the four leads getting mixed up in investigations by sheer coincidence. Solving cases is a minor subplot, not complicated, and doesn't take up much space. * With respect and gratitude to all public servants. This story is just for lighthearted jokes; please don't read too much into it. * None of the characters are based on real people, and none of the departments that appear have any connection to real ones. * Primarily told from Qiao Huan's perspective, not an ensemble story. * The overall tone is light and comedic. Chapter 4's author's note also includes some content warnings; please read it. Wishing everyone a happy life. Go straight to my other series We're a Boy Band and We're Also Saviors!, a hilarious feel-good entertainment-industry story Qiao Xia, the visual and youngest member of the floundering boy band SyU, suddenly splits his soul. Every night, he transmigrates into a blob of slime, wriggling around in a Western fantasy apocalypse. His older brothers, who get along wonderfully with him and sit up talking by candlelight every night, have also been acting strangely lately. Using the heightened senses he gained from his otherworldly identity as a slime, he investigates carefully and uncovers a ridiculously unbelievable situation: All five of them have split souls! The warmhearted leader has become a gifted... demonic cultivator in a xianxia world. Goal: Ascend through the demonic path and save all living beings. The socially anxious main vocalist has become the merfolk commander aboard a starship. Goal: Repel the enemy forces and save all the races. The unhinged dancer has become a healing guide. Goal: Soothe the sentinels and save humanity. The robot-like rapper has become a young man in a historical setting. Goal: Pass the civil service exam and save his people. The five of them stare at one another: ... Bro, you've been saving the world every night too? Every world is on the brink of destruction, but fortunately, the five brothers share resources and talk things through. The only tricky part is that they were perfectly ordinary before, but after gaining experiences and skills from their other lives at night, they suddenly became famous “I thought the leader had a gentle image. Since when could he twirl a sword?” “The main vocalist has unlocked another high note! Brilliant!” “Cultural workers need culture! Those new rap lyrics are incredible!” The five of them scratch their heads. Their floundering group is getting more and more popular. How are they supposed to find time to save other worlds? Oh. This world is going to end too... Never mind, then. #The five brothers try to turn every performance or variety show into a lesson on surviving the apocalypse# #They get even more famous because their style is so unconventional# #One more absurd boy band in the Chinese entertainment industry# Theme: Stay positive and live life optimistically
