Shen Ji is an overworked 996 office worker.

Ten years after his grandfather died, he accidentally got bound to a Cultural Relics Protection System and was forced to quit his job in the big city and return to his hometown to inherit a mountain and a dilapidated mountain god temple.

When villagers were plagued by "spirits and monsters," Shen Ji held fast to the principle that science came first. He gritted his teeth and used fake supernatural tricks to bring peace to Little Green Mountain, and successfully rebuilt the mountain god temple.

Villager A: "Master Shen, help! I think my family offended the Yellow Immortal. All our chickens have been bitten to death!"

Shen Ji wiped his face and lifted up an iron cage. "Don't panic when something happens. First, we'll set a trap for the weasel."

Villager B: "Master Shen, our pig's possessed! It... it sings in the middle of the night!"

Shen Ji looked calm. "Don't panic. This is a good omen! The mountain god has surely chosen it! Let's hire a butcher to clean it up today, and tomorrow I'll set up an incense table and altar to worship the mountain god! After the ceremony, everyone can have pork stew together!"

In the eyes of the villagers of Little Green Mountain, their new temple keeper was a mysterious and unfathomable person. Since he took up the post, the weasels had stopped running rampant, the mice no longer danced around their houses, and the pigs no longer partied in the middle of the night. Little Green Mountain was flourishing.

But Shen Ji, revered by the villagers, now faced a new problem. He had painted a touch of golden red along the mountain god's eyes, and the statue...

Suddenly opened its eyes.

This... was a big problem.

After thinking it over, Shen Ji called a number.

"Hello, 110? I have something I'd like to hand over to the country!"
