The Days I Was Forced to Become a Shaman

[My blurb-writing skills are terrible. In one sentence: The everyday life of a max-level spirit medium] The best thing about being reborn for Bo Yi was finally ditching that bunch of useless losers who kept taking advantage of him. From now on, no one could get a free ride off him again. Who could have guessed? As the top Maoshan spirit medium in the world of occult arts, Bo Yi never got to live that legendary life where the immortals handled all the hard work and he just sat back and enjoyed himself. Instead, a bunch of immortals sponged off him until his family fortune was gone. Bo Yi returned to the villa he was supposedly set to inherit, and froze when he opened the door. Three foxes and a weasel were playing mahjong. A thick red-banded snake was coiled on the sofa, binge-watching a show. A circle of rats looked like they were having a tea party. There was even a hedgehog in the corner, sulking by itself. ...Well, that's something. When they saw Bo Yi, they gave him a sinister smile. "You little brat from the Bo family, we're the immortals your family has worshipped. By the rules, you have to support us until you die..." Bo Yi smiled shyly. "Sure, I can support you..." The next day, the Bo family's occult arts shop opened for business, with a couplet on the door. First line: Murder, arson, chicken theft, and burglary: No. Second line: Fortune-telling, yin-yang, feng shui, and chanting sutras: No. Horizontal inscription: Anything else goes. As a result, a whole bunch of spirits got thoroughly swindled by Bo Yi and spent every day running around the city doing odd jobs. "Bo Yi! You inhuman monster! There's nothing you wouldn't do for money! We mighty immortals have ended up cleaning human cesspits!"
