The Great General Gets Bound to a Seductress System

- A Note Before You Begin: This is my first serious long-form danmei novel, and writing it has gradually taught me how to write. But its shortcomings are just as obvious: I had no outline, so many plot points are handled clumsily and without much regard for logic, and the ideas I wanted to express are rather muddled. At heart, I just wanted to bring everyone a fun little story. Thank you for your understanding and for reading. I hope you enjoy it, and if anything makes you uncomfortable, please stop reading right away. ★ Please add my upcoming novel, *Minister x Minister*, to your favorites~ Blurb: Five years ago, Li Sijiu transmigrated to ancient times and got bound to a Villainous Consort System. System: Stir up the imperial harem! Become a villainous consort! Earn favor points! Rise to the top! Li Sijiu, fired up: Great! Let's go!! To improve himself, he worked himself to the bone, studying and earning merit, until he eventually became a famous... great general. System: ...Help. After five years of hard work on the frontier, Li Sijiu finally returned to the capital and was summoned by the emperor. The emperor asked, “What do you want? I’ll grant you a reward.” Li Sijiu dropped to his knees. “Your Majesty, I’ve finally waited for this day. I want to enter your harem! Ahhh!” The young emperor: “...Fine.” The court officials: Eyes widened in shock.jpg * Once he enters the harem, Li Sijiu feels guilty toward the young emperor even as he tearfully stirs up trouble among the imperial consorts. Today he competes for favor and infuriates the other consorts. Tomorrow he eats a peacock sent by a neighboring kingdom. Every day, Li Sijiu worries that he’ll be beheaded. * The young emperor, Yu Xiujin, has actually been reborn once. Last time, he refused Li Sijiu’s request to enter the palace, and Li Sijiu flew into a rage and raised an army in rebellion. Yu Xiujin was deeply shaken. He’d never realized Li Sijiu had such profound feelings for him. So this time, he decided to let him into the palace and comfort him properly, to prevent any more trouble. Yu Xiujin is heartbroken, but still has to press Li Sijiu’s head into his own arms and praise him through his tears: “Well done. I’m not heartbroken at all.” Content warnings: 1. This is a fictional setting, so there may be plot holes. Romance comes first, logic second. 2. It’s a silly comedy, so just have fun reading~ 3. Both the gong and shou are adorable, devoted to each other in body and mind, and this is a 1v1 romance. 4. The shou is a straight-up, clueless guy. His fighting ability is greater than his brains, and his thought process is strange for a long time, but he’s very dependable and makes his boyfriend feel safe. 5. Emperor gong x general shou. Li Sijiu is the shou. 6. No childbirth, but there is a child, a product of advanced technology. ★ Check out my friend's delicious historical danmei cultivation novel, *The Beautiful Master Tears Up the Cannon Fodder Script [Book Transmigration]* by Dupi You Chitang. In the book, the person who shares his name is the most beautiful character in the whole story and the most doted-on of the young princes. He’s also an utterly hopeless, world-class idiot and villain. The original Chen Fang causes trouble nonstop, relying on his father’s favoritism. Today he insults the crown prince, tomorrow he beats up the young marquis, and the day after that he kidnaps the chief eunuch and humiliates him. Everyone in the book covets the throne, but they all agree on one thing: they need to kill the original Chen Fang first. Chen Fang arrives a year before the old emperor dies. As soon as the old emperor dies, these people will join forces to torture him to death, in the most horrible way imaginable. Chen Fang bursts into tears. To survive, Chen Fang pretends to be an idiot. * Gu Feiyi, chief eunuch and the power behind the throne. One day, the news spreads like wildfire: The young prince has become a simpleton! Gu Feiyi has lived in an imperial city full of clever people and has never met a fool before, so he finds himself a little curious. He pulls a pastry from his robes and asks Chen Fang, “Want some?” * Chen Fang eats it. Gu Feiyi discovers the joy of feeding someone. He thinks, I won’t kill him. I’ll keep him around for a couple of days and see what happens. - At first, Gu Feiyi thinks he’s just keeping a good-for-nothing. Then he thinks he’s keeping a pet. Later, he realizes he’s basically raising a silly son. And finally, Gu Feiyi is horrified to discover that his fatherly affection for Chen Fang has turned into something else. -- Excerpt from *A Fool-Raising Handbook*: 1. Fools are unusual. They need to eat three big bowls of plain rice with every meal. 2. Fools sometimes pick up random things off the ground. 3. But a fool can bathe and use the toilet by himself. His future looks promising. A ruthless, gloomy, intensely curious eunuch gong x a sunny, upbeat, goofy shou with an unusual thought process Theme: Even in difficult circumstances, keep striving and let yourself shine.
