Thank Goodness, It Turns Out I'm Not an Idiot

Until he was eighteen, Wang Ping'an always thought he was an idiot.

His mother was a genius PhD. She earned her doctorate at eighteen and won the Nobel Prize at twenty.

His father was a genius singer. A song he wrote at sixteen was sung by people all over the world.

In kindergarten, his three-and-a-half-year-old classmates could recite the first five hundred decimal places of pi backward.

In primary school, it took him three days to memorize "Goose, Goose, Goose," while his classmates were working to eliminate nuclear radiation.

In middle school, he agonized over solving systems of two linear equations, while his classmates unlocked the mystery of black holes.

In high school, he stayed up until three in the morning memorizing vocabulary, while his classmates deciphered ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs.

On his eighteenth birthday, his mother finally told him the truth.

"Ping'an, the world you live in is actually called the Novel Protagonist Training Base. You're a supporting character who was supposed to be born into the world of ordinary people..."

Wang Ping'an burst into tears.

For eighteen years, he'd doubted his intelligence every single day. It turned out he wasn't an idiot! He was just a normal human being!!!

Theme: There's nothing wrong with being ordinary.
