Powerful Ministers X Powerful Ministers

The old emperor is incompetent and decadent, and the court is divided.

Xia Si, the Grand Secretary, has a gentle, refined face, but is actually consumed by greed and wields immense power.

The common people joke that Xia Si can cover half the sky over Great Zhou with one hand.

--The other half is covered by Shen Liguang, Minister of Personnel.

Xia Si smiles with a knife behind his back and harbors ulterior motives; Shen Liguang feigns compliance, and holds life and death in his hands.

At court, the two trade barbs and can't stand each other. Away from court, they consider even half a sentence to be too much.

Even newborn babies in Great Zhou know that the two are sworn enemies.

But no one knows that, beneath the moon hanging over the branches, Shen Liguang knocked on the door of Xia Si's residence.

"Lord Xia, I can't help feeling that all our arguments have made me fall for you." Shen Liguang, carrying a chill about him, smiled with peach-blossom eyes. "How about we get together?"

In the moonlight, Xia Si's expression was gentle and unruffled. After a moment's thought, he said, "Lord Shen's suggestion is excellent."

Reader's guide:

1. Everyday life after marriage (?): The story begins after the two get together.

2. They're both utterly uninterested in sex. After getting together, their most intimate act is sitting in the courtyard and having tea.

3. The above is a lie. A year after getting together, they finally learn to kiss.

4. A power-couple of ministers, playing with the old emperor together (not like that!). They're so handsome!
