The Victim Got Their Dinner Kicked Away Again Today

[A spin-off is planned: ‘I’m Really Not Faking Multiple Personalities.’] [Important: This story was completed on August 3, 2023, before the developments involving Fukuchi were revealed.] Synopsis: (The pairing is confirmed to be Dazai.) Noki Me is an employee of the Time Management Bureau’s [Victim Roleplay] unit. Just as the name suggests, they play victims in high-risk worlds to keep the death toll from getting so high that the worlds can no longer function. It sounds impressive, but the unit has only one employee: him. That means he has to play several different people, each destined to die for one reason or another “You’re so young. Why do something so dangerous?” The young man smiled warmly, not at all bothered by the blade at his throat. He calmly poured a cup of tea and slid it in front of the boy, Oda. Then he asked sincerely, “Would you be interested in a different line of work?” “I need a successor.” With the help of a senior colleague, infiltrating the liquor company wasn’t as difficult as they’d expected. Sometimes, when the mood struck, the three of them would even gather for a drink. Until the senior colleague handed over crucial information to the Public Security Bureau and was exposed. He looked at them and spoke as if soothing a petulant child. “If you don’t kill me, you’ll be the ones under suspicion next.” The Armed Detective Agency received an unusual request from a retired member of the Hunting Dogs. The boy’s oversized sleeves hid needle marks and patches of rotting skin. His body was completely necrotic, making him unsuitable for modification experiments, yet there was no shortage of people who wanted him dead. His dark eyes brimmed with trust. “Please protect me this month.” He played his roles and handled the aftermath, making all the arrangements. Then, wearing a peaceful smile, he waited for death. But events ran wild, completely beyond his control. Everyone who had spent time with him firmly promised, “We won’t let you die.” Noki Me: “Huh?! We don’t even have some deep grudge against each other, so why won’t you let me die and clock out?!” #TooMuchDramaComesBackToBiteYou# Coming soon: ‘I’m Really Not Faking Multiple Personalities’ Synopsis: After Moriyama Asa died, he inherited an urban legend that specializes in helping people lay their grudges to rest. *Police Academy The student who failed to graduate last year because of falsified grades had the nerve to enroll again the next year. His gloomy air and lingering hostility quickly made him everyone’s least favorite person. But he really was trying hard, and even saved a teammate in danger during a mission. Just as everyone was beginning to accept him, he deliberately killed the teacher everyone admired during a mission. “I only made sure a bad person got what he deserved.” The boy’s calm voice echoed through the interrogation room. *Mafia The young heir who had been forced out of power reappeared in public in a wheelchair. His hamstrings had been severed, and a tracker implanted under his skin. He looked at Dazai, his jade-green eyes still shining just as brightly as before, as if making a deal with the devil didn’t bother him in the slightest. “Want to work together?” *Liquor company After serving the dark organization for more than ten years, a man who’d been shot through the head for being casually labeled a “mole” clawed his way back from hell. After changing his appearance, he went to Bourbon. “I’ll use what I know to help you climb the ranks. In exchange, help me kill Gin.” A diligent employee, never given a bad review since starting the job. He was about to retire after finishing this last assignment for the liquor company when disaster struck His coworker at the liquor company was a former classmate. The organization’s important client was a former “business partner.” And Gin was one of his subordinates when he was alive. What was he supposed to do about the PTSD whenever he saw him?! And on top of that “Moriyama, have I ever told you that you look a lot like someone I used to know?” Moriyama Asa smiled as hard as he could. “...Maybe I just have a pretty ordinary face.” *As the synopsis suggests, when the protagonist was alive, he was the liquor company’s boss. Theme: Life’s meaning isn’t measured by its length. Live the way you want.
