The gong isn't a typical Beta, and there are original setting details.] After an accidental brush with a celebrity, Beta Xie Qing gets caught up in a scandal with a hugely popular Alpha star. "Casting couch," "abusing his power," "a cover-up by the higher-ups"... One sensational headline after another quickly engulfs him, a newly promoted major general. For various reasons, the military transfers him to a faraway affiliated star's military academy, where he is to serve as a temporary instructor while recovering from his injuries. Xie Qing accepts the assignment without complaint. He thought he would find peace far from the capital, but even here, a "love rival" comes knocking. "You little homewrecker! Meet me in the woods after school and take a beating!" One evening, a challenge popped up. Xie Qing straightened his uniform and happily went to meet it. But as the fight went on, he accidentally triggered his "love rival's" heat. Qi Chenxing: "Instructor, help me..." Xie Qing: "Who's the homewrecker?" Qi Chenxing: "I am! I'm the homewrecker, okay?!" Xie Qing thought what happened that day was just an accident neither of them wanted to mention again. But from then on, the clingiest little piece of sticky rice cake in the entire Federation stuck to him. Qi Chenxing: "Instructor, today's homewrecker wants a kiss too!" Xie Qing: "..." * Qi Chenxing was born in the new era, when the Beidou Federation was first established. He had never suffered a setback before the age of nineteen, until he met Xie Qing. Before he could even figure out how to be a love rival, Xie Qing vanished after a sudden accident. An explosion. Flames. Standing before the light screen, the boy tasted his own tears for the first time. They were bitter and sharp. He kept a silver ring. He wore it day after day. Until one day, the silver ring was stained with blood. He looked up and saw someone standing before him who should have been dead. "...Instructor, was it fun lying to me?" "Good. Don't cry." They happen around chapter twenty-something. * Half plot, half romance. Fake love rivals become lovers. Neither lead is perfect; both have flaws, make mistakes, and grow and change. * Set in the early days of interstellar migration. My own ABO setting, nontraditional and unconventional, with lots of original details. * [Important] During the temporary instructor and student period, both leads are adults and are not in a relationship. * This story was first planned a long time ago, in 2018. Even though I've revised the outline since then, most of it still uses old tropes. My apologies. [Please Read] 1. Main gong perspective, 1v1, mutual devotion, both virgins, happy ending. Lots of original worldbuilding, a little sci-fi and cyberpunk, all made up, so please don't overanalyze it. 2. The main ideas in the blurb were first recorded at the end of 2018, then revised in 2020 and June 2021. The final version was set on 2025.12.6, and I have screenshots as proof. Anyone who steals or borrows my ideas will go bald, choke on water, and flop forever. 3. None of the characters are perfect; all have flaws. Read with caution. The characters' values are limited by their era and setting and do not represent the author's values. Only the story's central message reflects what the author wants to say. 4. The gong loves the shou, and the shou loves the gong. Both give without keeping score. Don't reverse or break up the CP, and don't insert yourself into it. No extremists, please. This is just an ordinary novel. If it's not to your taste, stop reading. It's a mutual choice, so let's keep things harmonious and healthy for everyone. 5.
