The chaotic little episodes between a tough yet graceful square-dancing auntie and a brash, flamboyant Uncle Le.
(This isn't a late-life romance! It's about a tomboy who specializes in classical dance and loves square dancing, and a campus heartthrob who can breakdance, and the sparks that fly between them, haha.)
Follow the beat and let's all dance like maniacs together.
Get up and dance!
My new novel, "The Boy from the Small Town," is being serialized now. Please check it out and add it to your collection! I'd also love it if you followed my author page.
Synopsis:
Wen Yiya ran away from her arranged marriage to her childhood sweetheart and came to an ancient town a thousand miles away.
It was a spring night in March, with misty rain drifting through the air. By the time she reached the town, she was penniless.
Down on her luck, she sat beneath the eaves outside a little shop selling folk crafts to shelter from the rain.
It was late at night, and the shopkeeper was getting ready to close up.
Unfortunately, as he shut the window, a few drops of rain slipped off the wooden frame and landed on Wen Yiya's head.
She turned around on reflex and found herself face-to-face with a boy standing at the window, looking apologetic.
"S-sorry," the boy said in a clear voice.
Wen Yiya stared at him. In the drizzle and breeze, beneath the scattered lights, he looked like a beautiful young man who had stepped right out of a painting.
The handsome boy blinked awkwardly under her gaze. Seeing the rain getting heavier, he blurted out, "Miss..." He paused, seeming to stammer for a moment from nervousness at being stared at.
Wen Yiya almost thought he was about to call her Auntie.
Then the boy continued, "Miss, would you like to come inside and wait out the rain?"
Miss? Wen Yiya couldn't help smiling. This really was an old Jiangnan town of misty rain and apricot blossoms. The local customs were wonderfully old-fashioned!
Looking at the boy's deliciously handsome, harmless face, she nodded at once. "Sure."
Later, Wen Yiya and the boy ran the little shop together.
As time passed, they fell in love. Just as the boy was filled with hope that he could hold her hand and grow old with her, spending the rest of their lives in this little town...
Wen Yiya's childhood sweetheart came charging in and took her away.
An age-gap romance between an older woman and a younger man, with a four-year difference.
Happy ending
The plot is pretty good, but it's too simple. It's good as a bedtime story.
There are indeed a lot of exclamation marks
When I saw the copywriting, I inexplicably made up the classic "You guys don't fight anymore" from the top of the Forbidden City. I laughed out loud. Thanks to my wife for the limited exemption~
I feel like the male protagonist will fall in love with the female protagonist first
Haha, I almost thought it was a twilight love affair
Come on, author, keep updating~~
The subject matter is good, I'll save it~~
A small red flower, big and fast
Very interesting article, please update it
Hahaha, the theme is so novel. What the hell is square dancing? It feels super joyful.
