The World's Number One Assassin

Cold-Blooded Assassin VS Passionate Boy

Late autumn, early winter. Deep into the night, with heavy dew.

A crow's harsh, hoarse caw rang out in the secluded woods, accompanied by a boy's bright laughter.

"Sister Xue, do you like me that much? You've been chasing me for almost half a month now. I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed!

This is the first time in my life a girl has pursued me so relentlessly, clinging to me and refusing to let go! I'm so happy, and so flattered."

The woman in white stood on the tip of one toe atop a treetop, saying nothing for a long time.

She simply swung her sword, sending snow swirling through the sky.

The grinning boy caught a snowflake on his fingertip and lightly licked it.

Then, with a slightly flirtatious laugh, he said, "So sweet, Sister Xue. I bet your lips are even sweeter..."

As soon as the words left his mouth, blood stained his lips, making him look both tragic and stunning.

Later, the three-month deadline arrived.

"Isn't the title of the world's number-one assassin what you want, Sister Xue? Then take it."

And so he let himself fall from the sky. Slowly closing his eyes, he spread his arms and lay in the thick white snow. Snowflakes fell on his brows and in his heart, cold and weightless.

He quietly and obediently waited for her move: "June Snow!"

He looked forward to her arrival.

Her sword plunged decisively into his chest. She was still as cold and merciless as ever.

From that moment on, there was no more "Blazing Starfire" in the world, only "June Snow."

Note: This story is also known as The Duel Between Two Assassins and The Love-Hate Story of Two Assassins.

"June Snow" and "Blazing Starfire" are the protagonists' signature techniques.

Happy ending.
