Blood Demon

Unhinged, lovesick demoness female lead X gentle, righteous male lead

Blurb:

Hongying is the last blood demon in the world.

She must drink human blood to survive. At first, just a little was enough, but over time she needed more and more, until she had no choice but to capture more people and drain their blood to preserve her life and beauty.

More and more young men and women were disappearing from the Jiuyou Kingdom, so the State Preceptor's son, Leng Wuchen, was ordered to capture the culprit.

By the banks of the Chishui River, the white-clad youth came upon the demoness just as she was about to tear out someone's heart and drink their blood.

She wore red, but her long hair had turned as white as snow because she was close to death. She was both tragic and breathtakingly beautiful.

The blood demon gazed at the pure, spotless youth in white, her eyes innocent and pitiful. "I don't want to kill people either, but I want to live. What's wrong with that? All I want is to stay alive..."

Her helpless expression and heartrending gaze stirred the inexperienced youth's compassion. He had never wanted to take a life and wished to reform her, so he put away his silver-glinting sword and gently said, "Let them go. I'll find a way to save you."

The blood demon gave him a stunning yet sorrowful smile and asked, "How are you going to save me?"

"One life for another?" As she spoke, she stepped toward him and came close. It was as if she'd caught the scent of something tempting on him, and she couldn't help leaning toward his neck.

Her sharp teeth were about to break through his cool, pale skin.

The youth didn't dodge. He let her do as she pleased.

From then on, he became the only salvation she had in this world.
