Qin Sheng knew he had terrible luck when it came to people. When he was young and not thinking straight, he picked Lu Er out of his countless suitors, an Alpha so awful he belonged in a textbook. He acted devoted in public, but was promiscuous before marriage and unfaithful afterward. While Qin Sheng was pregnant, he even deliberately brought his mistresses home to make a scene, without the slightest regard for Qin Sheng's feelings. Qin Sheng was already in poor health, and after being angered into the hospital several times, he managed to save the baby. But when he got home, all he could do was endure Lu Er and his mistresses' taunts. "Well, well. Weren't you so proud back then, saying you'd only accept an Alpha who'd spend a lifetime with you? How come you can suddenly put up with a few grains of sand in your eye?"

He woke groggily at one point, remembering only that a strikingly handsome Alpha had held him protectively in their arms. Before he could get a proper look, he passed out again. When he woke up in a hospital bed, Lu Jiren, the only person on the Lu family's side he could stand, was quietly peeling an apple, his big, fawn-like eyes glancing at him from time to time.

Qin Sheng tried to recall the appearance of the Alpha who seemed to have saved him. In his dizzy memories, there was a pair of gray-green eyes.

He reached down to stroke his belly. At the banquet, it had still been rounded with pregnancy, but now it was flat, extinguishing his last hope.

As the Zerg Federation's ambassador to humanity, Tang Mu (TOM) was glad that the Zerg had discovered humanity, a species that used a language with high information entropy. After they fully adopted the human language system, quite apart from its cultural impact, Tang Mu (TOM) had finally escaped the annoyance of having a name shared by 26 percent of the Federation. Humans had come up with all sorts of variations on his original name, Tom, such as Tang Mu, Tang Mu, Tang Mu (TOM), and Tang Mu. His fondness for humans wasn't limited to abstract things, either. It was even more tangible when it came to individual humans, specifically, human minors and adult Omegas.

For this reason, when Tang Mu (TOM) came to the human Empire's capital planet as a Zerg ambassador, he treated every human he met with the same affection and urge to care for them that humans felt when they came across a stray kitten.

This time was no different.

The two humans he had rescued from the terrorist attack while out getting cake. One was an Alpha who seemed to have only recently reached adulthood and was probably impossible to tame. He had given Tang Mu (TOM) a hostile look the day he was rescued, and today the animosity in his eyes was practically bursting out of him. To Tang Mu (TOM), he was just a kitten constantly hissing. The other was a beautiful, delicate Omega who seemed to be pregnant. Unfortunately, even though Tang Mu (TOM) had rushed him to the hospital in his arms, he couldn't save the Omega's baby. As a female insect who also had a responsibility to reproduce, Tang Mu (TOM) was very concerned about the human he had rescued. When he heard Qin Sheng had woken up, he specially prepared plenty of snacks known as human cat treats and went to visit him.

But Qin Sheng, who came from a noble family, couldn't stomach the spicy snacks loaded with seasoning. After eating a small bag, his whole face turned red and his eyes welled up with tears. The sight filled Tang Mu (TOM) with an overwhelming maternal instinct.

Then Qin Sheng's mosquito-like whisper swiftly shattered it.

Qin Sheng was satisfied with Tang Mu (TOM)'s looks, build, height, and absolutely everything else. After a moment of reserve, he followed his heart and said, "I can never repay you for saving my life. If you're willing, I can marry you and make you the next Marshal of the Military."

He even offered the greatest "dowry" his mother had left him!

But the man of his dreams only covered his mouth with the back of his hand in surprise, then rejected him in the sing-song voice of the gay male Alphas Qin Sheng often saw online. "Aww, thank you for the offer, but I'm not human, I'm a female insect, and I'm strictly straight."

Qin Sheng had been thinking that if nothing else worked, he could give this gay male Alpha some Western medicine to sort him out. But when he learned that they were different in both species and sex, his heart went cold, and tears streamed from his reddened eyes.
