The World of Baldur

I've been playing Baldur's Gate recently. The writing is pretty good and the worldview is fairly complete. The writing style is quite polished, but I can't be too demanding on the writing style of a novel. But the poisonous point is the substitution of modern technology. Originally, it seems that the Baldur genre pursues the world view of DND, but the author is engaging in modern science, physical rules, and materials science in a place with magic, magic, and alchemical potions. Will it really not change? There is a disgusting feeling like drinking soy sauce in the milk. Personally, I think magic is the science of DND. I really can't understand why we have to build a computer even when we have a tower spirit (artificial intelligence) and a water-making technique, but we still need to rely on drying salt to make salt, we already have elemental pools, and we still need to build a power plant. Really annoying. This kind of Western fantasy literature is like this. Either it becomes a cultivator, or it becomes the second dimension, or it becomes the industrial revolution. It is really difficult to watch the original DND without private goods. Except for this poisonous point, in general, it is indeed good among similar books. The author is also very careful, and many items can be seen in the branch lines of the game.

Congratulations to Baldur's Gate 3 for winning the 2023 Game of the Year, it's well deserved.

A chronicle novel, not interesting at all.

The protagonist is only at level 9. He uses the golden finger to help his subordinates to reach level 10. This rubbish golden finger can be used by others, but it is better than the protagonist Tamad.

The plot of Kalinshan in the later part of the book is a garbage plot. In this plot, the protagonist already has the strength comparable to the incarnation of powerful divine power, but he plays house with a group of mortal gangsters in the slums... And it ends soon after... It is completely unfinished and too toxic...

I originally thought it was a good DND novel, but the ending made me feel dramatic. I lost the motivation to continue reading. The time traveler returned to Earth and was speechless.

It's a pity that the author stopped writing. None of his subsequent works can match this one.

The writing is good, but the pace is too fast, a bit like a running account, and sometimes several scenes are changed in one chapter.
