Thoughts Made Tangible

The posters, figurines, games, art books, and novels in this world are more than mere products. They are vessels, bearing two vast collectives of thought. One is born from the images of entertainment-industry idols, preying on emotions amid fame and feuds. The other is born from stories in games, taking the form of characters and feeding on players' love. I was born with a passive fate, like an open receiver, constantly absorbing the thoughts spilling out of these vessels. I don't idolize any celebrity, nor have I ever favored Su Nuannuan or the phantom spirits in stories. But the star spirits and phantom spirits have their eyes on the energy radiating from me. Using the vessels found everywhere, they continually assail me with their thoughts, trying to pry open my mind and turn me into nourishment. People lose themselves in beautiful facades, willingly spending money and pouring out their love. In this invisible exchange of thoughts, they supply spirits with power. I alone refuse to give them any emotion. I have no intention of destroying either side, and I have no power to hunt down the countless spirits in the sky. I want only one thing: to protect the boundaries of my mind and keep this endless clamor from bothering me.
