The Feather of Ma'at

Death is not the end, but merely the long journey to the Duat. When the dead pass through the many gates of the underworld, they will face judgment on Anubis's scales in the Hall of Two Truths. A heart filled with the good and evil of one's life, and a feather as light as Ma'at, are placed on opposite sides of the scales. Anubis, jackal-headed, bears witness to every weighing. Status, wealth, and achievements count for nothing. Only sincerity and balance of heart determine the soul's final destination. A moment's tilt decides an eternity.
