The Immortal Altar Against the Current

Before the ancient water god Gonggong fell, he condensed his life's divine power into the “Reverse Flow Divine Marrow” and sealed it inside the Reverse Flow Immortal Altar, buried at the bottom of Wangchuan Abyss. Legend says the reverse flow can turn back time and reshape bloodlines, but it devours the souls of all who enter. Only descendants bearing the remnants of Gonggong's bloodline can enter safely.

Shen Canglan was an ordinary fisherman from the riverside. Born with a chronic chill, he was swept into an abyss during a river disaster and accidentally awakened the mark of his bloodline, drawing him into the struggle over the immortal altar. Reclusive ancient clans emerged in force to seize the divine marrow, stirring the world's waterways and causing rivers to surge backward and calamities to spread. As Shen Canglan searches for the truth about his origins, he meets the orphaned daughter of the clan guarding the altar and a wandering eccentric, while clashing several times with enemies coveting the divine marrow. He enters the Reverse Flow Immortal Altar again and again, and in fragments of time flowing backward, uncovers the secrets of antiquity: the power of reverse flow was never a miracle meant to save the world, but a curse left behind by Gonggong. At last, using his own bloodline as a guide, he confronts the source of the immortal altar. Between saving his loved ones, ending the floods, and bringing a thousand-year curse to a final end, he sets out on his own unorthodox path.
