Devour the Gods!

In the ancient primordial era, heaven and earth were first divided, and the gods arose from chaos. Bound by a pact with the Heavenly Dao, they divided the Three Realms and Six Paths, governing the sun, moon, stars, mountains, rivers, plants, and trees, and receiving the worship of all living beings. But all things decline after reaching their peak. The gods fought to claim authority over the Heavenly Dao, igniting a war that raged for three thousand years. Its flames engulfed the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths, countless gods fell, the laws of heaven and earth shattered, and life across the Three Realms was devastated. As the war neared its end, an ancient beast was born in the depths of chaos: the God-Eater Black Ao.

Born where the gods’ resentment mingled with the essence of chaos, the beast was as immense as an ancient mountain lying in slumber. Nine great Taotie mouths grew from its back, able to devour divine cores, crush the laws of the universe, and absorb spiritual energy from heaven and earth for its own use. It emerged from chaos, leaving fallen gods and a crumbling Divine Realm in its wake. Before its devouring power, righteous gods and demon gods alike were no more than ants. In just a hundred years, half the gods of the ancient Divine Court had perished in its jaws, and the Divine Realm stood on the brink of destruction.

To survive, twelve ancient righteous gods led by the Primordial Divine King set aside their differences and joined forces to create the Ten Thousand Gods Heaven-Sealing Formation. Using all their divine essence and souls as its core, they sealed the God-Eater Black Ao within the Ten Thousand Gods Ruins, a secret realm in the rift between the Three Realms. To prevent the beast from breaking free, the twelve gods divided its source into ten God-Eater Pearls, scattering them across the nine regions of the secret realm and the central sealing altar. The lingering souls of the twelve gods and ancient divine beasts guarded them, generation after generation. Before he died, the Primordial Divine King left a prophecy carved into the divine stone at the entrance to the secret realm: “When the Ten Thousand Gods fall silent, the God-Eater is reborn. As the Three Realms collapse, only the one who holds the pearls can determine the fate of the world.”
