God Eater!

Heaven and earth are vast, the universe primordial. In the ancient era, the gods governed the laws of the myriad worlds, commanding all manner of beasts and keeping the eight wildernesses and six directions in order. Then the “Spirit-Devouring Calamity” swept through the Divine Realm without warning. An intangible, formless force of chaos consumed divine power and twisted divine nature, driving the gods into madness until they turned on one another. At last, the twelve surviving chief gods used their souls as a guide to forge the God-Eater Seal and imprison the heart of chaos. They sank the entire Divine Ruins beneath the Nine Heavens and below the Nine Earths, leaving behind a prophecy: “When the God-Eater appears, all calamities begin anew. Gods fall and demons rise. Only humanity can decide the outcome.”

Countless millennia passed, and much of the cultivation world’s heritage was lost. The ancient war of the gods faded into a tale of dubious history. Then, in the 372nd year of the Great Jing Dynasty, the spiritual energy of heaven and earth suddenly reversed deep in the hundred thousand mountains of the southern borderlands. Blood-red radiance shone across the skies for seven days and nights, and the long-lost entrance to the God-Eater Ruins slowly appeared in a fractured mountain ravine. Rumor held that the ruins contained treasures of the god race, the inner cores of ancient divine beasts, and even the God-Eater Seal, which could devour all cultivation. Whoever obtained it could break through to immortality, perhaps even matching the ancient gods.

The news sent shockwaves through the cultivation world. The seven orthodox sects, the three demonic valleys, imperial spies, wandering cultivators, and even secluded yao tribes all converged on the southern borderlands. These cultivators, each with their own agenda, had no idea whether the secret realm’s opening would bring a rare opportunity or an apocalypse.
