Hidden Edge in the Streets

Ten years ago, Chen Mo, a Songshan disciple, was branded a thief who had stolen a martial arts manual and murdered his master. Cast out of his sect, he disappeared into the streets and became a food delivery rider, making a living from one errand to the next. Ten years later, the Shadow Hall resurfaces, hunting down the surviving disciples of various sects in pursuit of fragments of a lost martial arts manual. An ambush on a rainy night forces Chen Mo to reveal his skills, and brings him face-to-face with Su Wan, an Emei successor who has also been keeping a low profile while working at a hotpot restaurant. With the Shadow Hall closing in and his fellow disciples seeking revenge because of their misunderstanding, Chen Mo is forced to join forces with Su Wan. Amid the bustle of everyday life, they investigate the truth behind the bloody massacre that befell his sect all those years ago. The martial world is not confined to mountain gates; true skill can lie hidden among ordinary people. When the Songshan palm techniques beneath a delivery rider’s uniform and the Emei silver needles hidden in an apron are unleashed at the same time, the nights in this mountain city are only just beginning.
