The Hidden Sword of the Streets

At twenty-four, Ling Jianchen is an unremarkable kitchen hand at Fuweiju. He keeps an old short blade in a worn leather sheath at his waist. He does not drink or cause trouble, works hard, and rarely speaks. No one knows that ten years ago, he defeated every young martial arts prodigy with a single sword strike and stood at the summit of the sword path as the Azure Edge Sword Master. Weary of bloodshed, he retreated into the ordinary world, hoping only to live as an ordinary man. Until local thugs came calling, a martial arts school sought revenge, and old enemies tracked him down... They thought he would be easy to bully, but they did not know: When the Azure Edge stays sheathed, the world has no swords. Once it is drawn, he has no rivals. This is a classic wuxia tale of a sword master hiding in the mortal world and choosing to play the pig to eat the tiger.
