Lord of the Cloud-Sleeve Sword

During the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, the Central Plains were in turmoil and ritual and music had fallen into ruin. Ling Tian, once a musician in the capital, had made a name throughout the land with a single performance of “Guangling San.” But when he refused to submit to a warlord, he was beaten to death in open court, and not even his bones remained. Seventeen-year-old Ling Jiu narrowly escaped with his life and hid among a troupe of performers, honing his skills for three years. He wore stage robes as armor, wielded long sleeves as blades, and made every note of his singing a death sentence. Snow fell upon the stage. The music began, and the killing followed. One line from a play, one life taken. Where his cloud sleeves swept and billowed, they carried the blood debts of a troubled age, still unpaid. The world calls him the “Lord of the Cloud-Sleeve Sword,” unaware that beneath his white robes lies the most unhinged vengeance ever conceived by a performer.
