The Jade-Clad Wanderer

After more than ten years living in seclusion deep in the mountains, Lin Zhufeng always thought he was just an ordinary mountain boy. Dressed in white and wrapped in jade-green silk, he was born with a pure, jade-like constitution. By chance, he met the wandering master Qingya. The master cherished his pure heart, untouched by worldly ways, and taught him a gentle, graceful sword art. For three years, he cultivated in quiet contemplation on Mount Funiu, learning nothing of bloodshed or fury and becoming entangled in no martial-world grudges. When he saw injustice at a ferry crossing, he stepped in to help, only to draw the pursuit of martial-world swordsmen. His peaceful life shattered overnight. Forced to leave their home, mother and son set out across the land, the young man in white embarking on a thousand-mile quest to find a physician. Only later did he gradually learn the truth. His father had once been a renowned sword master, but after being grievously wounded by a malicious plot from his own sect, he had retired from the martial world. His mother’s chronic illness was no ordinary result of exhaustion or frailty. After spending a lifetime beside her husband, she had contracted an old martial-world cold poison. And the warm jade-green pendant he had worn close to him for half his life was a secret treasure passed down from his father’s generation, one that had protected mother and son all along. People enter the martial world to avenge blood-soaked grudges, reach the pinnacle of martial arts, or seize a lifetime of supreme glory. Only Lin Zhufeng, with jade-green silk shaping his spirit and white robes carrying him to the ends of the earth, cares nothing for old grudges, past enmities, or worldly fame and fortune. He crosses a thousand mountains in search of spirit herbs and travels through the mortal world to seek renowned physicians. With a graceful, jade-like sword in hand and a heart burning with filial devotion, he seeks only to protect the one loved one he has left in this world. Old ties from his father’s past lie buried, the martial world seethes with hidden currents, and beyond it all lies a refined sword path as clear as jade. The young man in white remains untouched by malice, and his jade-green spirit does not fall into worldly ways. With an unwavering heart, he walks through a troubled age, using gentle devotion to safeguard the peace of a lifetime.
