Godhood for All: I Told You to Worship the God of Death, but You Worship Genshin Impact

He transmigrates to a world where everyone can become a deity. A century ago, monsters descended, and humanity had to offer frenzied worship to the lofty Western gods in exchange for a meager chance at survival. Su Mu, however, is a godforsaken being, rejected by the world's laws and unable to wield divine power. Just as he is about to accept the offer of a tycoon's daughter, his childhood sweetheart, and lie flat in comfort, he unexpectedly connects with the Statue of the Seven from another world! He thinks he's finally about to begin a story where he's the invincible chosen one. But when he opens the statue, why are these gods all so strange? The dignified God of War, Rex Lapis, descends and, instead of granting him power, calmly lifts his teacup and says, “The contract is sealed. But... young man, did you bring any money?” The carefree Anemo Archon clutches a bottle of wine and shouts in the mental realm, “Oh, hey, the cider from this other world is pretty good too!” The shut-in Electro Archon draws her blade, lightning crackling around her. “Musou no Hitotachi has already slain the demon god for you. So... what's for dinner tonight? Or would you like me to cook?” To keep these freeloaders, who demand money and wine but can't even cook, fed, Su Mu can only grab his spear with tears in his eyes and charge into the monster hordes to rake in gold coins! While the local believers bankrupt themselves and grovel for a shoddy earthen shield, Su Mu stands behind a dark-gold shield impervious to every form of magic and cleaves an Abyssal Bone Dragon in two. The lofty local gods are stunned and trembling with fear: “What kind of god does this guy worship?!” Su Mu sighs and silently picks up the magic core on the ground. “Don't ask. They're all a bunch of old debt collectors!”
