Sky Screen: Opening a Restaurant with Sizhi, Leaving Gao Yang Drooling

Su Chen, an easygoing rich kid, inherits his grandfather’s little restaurant and is ready to lie flat and enjoy retirement. But when he opens the storeroom door, he finds the babbling little Princess Jinyang of the Tang Dynasty, Xiao Sizi, as well as the haughty and rebellious Princess Gaoyang, who is clutching a golden hairpin! Little does he know, everything is being broadcast live to every dynasty through the sky screen above! When Su Chen tries to prove his innocence by downing half a bottle of fizzy, chilled cola in front of the two girls, Emperor Li Shimin of the Tang Dynasty glares furiously from Ganlu Hall: “This short-haired madman! He dares drink that black poison in front of my two precious daughters! Guards, I’ll chop this demon down myself!” When Su Chen casually turns a knob and a blue flame bursts from the gas stove, then takes out pure white salt to make tomato and egg stir-fry, Zhu Yuanzhang of the Ming Dynasty completely loses it: “He just casually sprinkles that salt, white as frost? And the white jade covering the floor, plus an entire wall of glass! This brat from the future is the greatest wastrel of all time! You’re driving me mad!” From their first taste of spicy hotpot, which has them hopping around with burning tongues, to their newfound love of iced milk tea; from personally teaching Princess Gaoyang how to watch television to turning his little restaurant into the happy home of the Tang Dynasty’s two princesses. Xiao Sizi hugs her baby bottle. “Little Su, this drink called cola bites your tongue! Sizi wants more!” Princess Gaoyang, wearing a modern apron, says, “Don’t get too pleased with yourself, Su Chen. I’m only helping you carry plates to pay off what I owe for that pearl milk tea!” Far away in the Tang Dynasty, Li Er watches Gaoyang serve tea to customers on the sky screen. He draws the Emperor’s Sword and rages helplessly. “Su Chen, you brat! How dare you make my precious daughter work as a waitress! I’ll wipe out your entire clan!”
