Great Tang: The Panda Stole Some Food and Got Caught by SizI

Lin Fei transmigrates to the Zhenguan era of the Tang Dynasty. The moment he opens his eyes, he makes the despairing discovery that he has crossed species and become a plump, round, black-and-white national treasure: a giant panda! To make matters worse, he has landed in a secluded bamboo grove in Taiji Palace, where he immediately encounters Princess Jinyang, the beloved yet tragically short-lived historical figure known as Xiao Sizi. He thinks he is about to be hacked to death as a demon beast, but thanks to his innate aura of good fortune, simply cuddling up to Xiao Sizi quietly suppresses the congenital illness that has plagued her. And so, the Tang Dynasty takes a dramatic turn. Lin Fei easily lands the most prestigious iron rice bowl in the empire and begins a hilarious live-in life as a full-time nanny. Every morning, Xiao Sizi clambers up his big, snowy-white belly with her little legs and uses it as a slide. “Chubby Bear, time to get up!” In the afternoon sunshine, the girl and the bear sprawl on the grass. Lin Fei teaches the imperial chefs how to make strings of candied hawthorns, which he pops into the little girl's mouth in exchange for a slobbery smooch. At night, Lin Fei becomes the Tang Dynasty's most luxurious, temperature-controlled, automatic leather mattress. Xiao Sizi tugs on his black ears, and her years-long breathing ailment is cured. Later, Xiao Sizi even becomes Lin Fei's personal cross-server translator: “Father! Chubby Bear says it doesn't want raw meat. It wants a bowl of sweet milk!” Watching his precious girl, once so frail, grow healthier and rosier by the day, Emperor Li Shimin of the Tang Dynasty is completely won over! Wei Zheng cries out in pain: “Your Majesty! The beast chewed my court tablet like a bamboo shoot!” Li Shimin: “Nonsense! Your court tablet simply looked too much like a bamboo shoot and frightened my guardian beast! As punishment, go plant an acre of premium winter bamboo shoots in Shanglin Park!”
