This is purely my personal feeling. It may be due to the special description technique. 3. Focus on reflecting on this problem. The protagonist has no ability to think for himself at all, which makes readers (just me as a reader, not representative of others) feel that the protagonist is simply playing games and accepting tasks, which is very rigid. For example, the capture of the first prisoner of the Black Foot. After the protagonist learns that Chagas is a straw bag, he can find an excuse to trick him out of the Black Foot territory and directly knock him out and take him away. Of course, it cannot be written like this, because it will not be able to advance the plot, but the author can describe the protagonist's thinking like this, and then give someone who cannot do this. The reason for doing this is to use this profile to make the protagonist's image more fleshed out and more like a person rather than a single-threaded NPC who can only do tasks. Since it is a novel, it cannot be written purely according to the game. The game has fixed rules and tasks must be solved according to the process. However, this is a novel. The author can freely write some more interesting plots without changing the big plot. If the author writes according to the game flow, it will be very boring and stiff.
