Before me, my relatives had already produced such talents as a “foolish emperor,” a “mad king,” and a “tyrant.” My family members have met all sorts of bizarre deaths: some were burned alive, some were stabbed by their own sons, and some poisoned themselves by eating the wrong things. My father is the “tyrant” of this generation, my grandfather was the “mad king” of the previous one, and my great-grandfather was the “foolish emperor” of the one before that. At first, I was just watching and enjoying the drama, until they asked me which one I supported. Let me weigh up the strengths of my two brothers. My eldest brother is the legitimate heir and seems to be a transmigrator with cheat-like advantages, but our emperor father really doesn’t like him. My second brother takes after our father in temperament, but he seems to dislike me quite a lot. So I decisively cast my vote for my eldest brother. But in the end, my second brother won, and I paid for backing the wrong side. After my tyrant father was justly overthrown, the new emperor, my second brother, bundled me off into a political marriage. I was married three times in all, and each time he came and took me back. The boldest thing I ever did was run away from my third wedding. Then I died on the run. When I opened my eyes again, I realized I had been reborn. I spent several days pondering what it meant to be reborn, then immediately set an ambitious goal to change my fate. But I forgot the most important thing. …Being reborn doesn’t make you any smarter!
