Blurb:

In her youth, Xue Yu was a woman of exalted status, the heir on whom the people of Ye City pinned their hopes. Later, among the many condemned prisoners at the Six Realms Tribunal, she selected Song Heng at a glance: barely alive, with all his immortal bones stripped from his body.

No one could have imagined that the boy, whom the Holy Land’s princess had pointed out on a whim, with the tendons in both his hands and feet severed and unable even to stand, would grit his teeth, swallow his blood, and climb ever higher with the sword in his hand. He rose from prince to Dao Lord to sect master, until he ascended to the throne of ruler of the immortal realm.

Xue Yu saved him and taught him day after day for thousands of years, doing everything she could and holding nothing back. But before she received even the slightest tenderness from him, she heard that he had led his troops to raze Ye City and bring home the beloved woman he had lost.

Song Heng returned victorious. The Celestial Palace was lit up with lanterns and filled with celebration. In the main hall, he removed his armor and held his bloodstained sword as he told Xue Yu, “This was not what I wanted. I had no choice.”

That night, Xue Yu turned herself into a blazing inferno and fought Song Heng as if her soul might shatter, trying to seize him and make him break the formation.

By a twist of fate, they both returned to a thousand years earlier.

Back then, the young Song Heng was like a dying cub, covered in whip marks and barely breathing as he lay on the tribunal platform, with almost no life left in him.

This time, Xue Yu sat in the highest seat. Her gaze passed over Song Heng without lingering for even a moment.

After a while, she extended her slender fingertips and pointed to the boy beside Song Heng, who had also just been punished and was as fierce as a wolf cub. Her red lips parted. “I want him.”

A little bonus scene:

Su You is a demon of utmost evil. Abandoned by his own family from birth, he endured scorn and abuse, yet possessed the most tenacious roots and the most enviable talent. He made a name for himself in his youth, strayed down the wrong path, stained his hands with blood, and committed countless evils. In the end, his tendons were severed, his cultivation destroyed, and he was brought before the Six Realms Tribunal.

He thought his life would end there. But among the six Daoist seats above the tribunal, someone casually extended a fingertip and pointed at him.

The one who saved him was Xue Yu, crown princess of Ye City.

She had his broken bones set and gave him the finest medicine. She taught him the art of political intrigue and groomed him to become her trusted aide.

Su You went from a demon everyone despised to Young Master You, a man the world regarded as elegant, inscrutable, and impossibly refined.

At last, at a grand gathering of the Six Realms, Su You crossed paths with Song Heng, who was just as much the talk of the town.

On the dueling platform, Su You became a demon once more. Dragging his tattered wings, he radiated murderous fury as he slowly crushed the bones in Song Heng’s fingers, the very fingers that had reached toward Xue Yu. His eyes brimmed with a startling intensity of malice and possessiveness.

Fantasy novel coming soon: "Ballad of Mountains and Seas"

Blurb:

Chu Mingjiao and Jiang Chenghan are the most notorious bickering couple in the Mountains and Seas Realm. They lived apart as soon as they were married: she was always going to the mortal world to undergo tribulations, while he had spent centuries living carefree as the lord of the Chaolan River.

Everyone knew they were a couple in name only and couldn’t stand the sight of each other.

When Chu Mingjiao took Song Wei, the sole surviving direct descendant implicated in the disaster known as the “Realm Upheaval,” under her wing and kept him by her side, protecting him at every turn, rumors that she and Jiang Chenghan were about to “divorce” and “dissolve their bond” grew ever more convincing.

Only a few people could remember that a century ago, Chu Mingjiao and Jiang Chenghan had been perfectly matched, childhood sweethearts. She was the brightest jewel of an ancient clan, while he was a carefree, brilliant young scion of a distinguished family, prophesied from birth to become the future lord of the realm.

Everyone said they were made for each other.

Not long after, Song Wei trespassed in a restricted area and triggered a great formation. The Lord’s Palace accused him of plotting a rebellion. Chu Mingjiao stepped in to protect the residents within a thousand li and fell into a coma.

When she awoke, Jiang Chenghan had left the Lord’s Palace and come in person to visit the Chu family.

To her left stood Song Wei, eyes lowered and silent. Across from her sat Jiang Chenghan, composed and elegant as a banished immortal.

It was the first time Jiang Chenghan had ever lost his temper in public. A vast crowd knelt before him, as if under divine punishment.

Looking at Chu Mingjiao, the ancient divine seal between his brows flickered. He spoke each word slowly and clearly: “Mingjiao, think carefully. Who is the husband who exchanged vows and formed a bond with you?”

“Today, you would rather trust him than me?”

Theme: A beautiful life, lived with optimism.
