Going premium on November 6, 2025! There’ll be a 10,000-word update that day!
Excerpt from Shoko the Farmer’s Journal, Part 1:
[One month until school starts, and I got a pocket-dimension farm. I’ve also been bound to what seems like a knockoff Stardew Valley System.
Well, this is a big deal. I should write it down.
P.S. There are a lot of fish in the pond here.]
Excerpt from Shoko the Farmer’s Journal, Part 2:
[Bad news: The System wants me to till the land with a hoe.
Good news: The System is an artificial idiot, so a couple of random swings count as finishing the job.
P.S. Unlocking the whole fish collection in the pond is kind of hard.]
Excerpt from Shoko the Farmer’s Journal, Part 3:
[Before school started, the artificial idiot System gave me a new task: grow a special plant and raise a special animal.
It also said the rare fish I spent half a month catching didn’t count. Tch.
P.S. Next target: a legendary fish.]
Excerpt from Shoko the Farmer’s Journal, Part 4:
[This new school is unusual. There are only three students in my class: me and two boys who look like nothing but trouble. I’d better keep my distance.
P.S. I still haven’t caught a legendary fish today.]
Excerpt from Shoko the Farmer’s Journal, Part 5:
[Would plants grown from balls made out of cursed spirits be special?
P.S. Can you even catch a legendary fish with the fish bait from the System’s shop?]
Excerpt from Shoko the Farmer’s Journal, Part 6:
[Well, they really are special.
And I got some free labor, too.
P.S. I wonder if I can use these plants to catch a legendary fish.]
Excerpt from Shoko the Farmer’s Journal, Part 7:
[The young master couldn’t stand being left out and wanted to farm, too. But it wasn’t long before he snuck off to eat the honey on the farm and got chased by bees. Yep, he’s an idiot.
Still, he’s decent labor.
P.S. The young master is so noisy, he scared off my legendary fish.]
Excerpt from Shoko the Farmer’s Journal, Part 8:
[I can take things from the farm outside now. I never expected them to work against cursed spirits, too. Looks like I’ll have more time to fish from now on.
P.S. Still haven’t caught a legendary fish today.]
Excerpt from Shoko the Farmer’s Journal, Part 9:
[Those rotten oranges want me to hand the farm over to them. I reasonably suspect cursed spirits have knocked something loose in their heads. As a doctor, I’ve decided to treat them for free.
Crossed out: The prison in the farm’s mining area is ready, so I’ll lock those guys up and make them mine.
Crossed out: P.S. I wonder if rotten oranges can catch a legendary fish.
Crossed out]
Excerpt from Shoko the Farmer’s Journal, Part …:
[Good news: I finally caught a legendary fish.
Bad news: There’s still one hidden fish I haven’t caught, so I failed to complete the collection.
P.S. Gojo, Geto, stop peeking. I’m not writing any more until I complete the collection. Get back to work.]
In a nutshell: Shoko the farmer and her two classmate laborers
Yaga: What are you three busy with all day?
Shoko: Fishing. Completing the collection.
Geto: Farming. New varieties.
Gojo: Raising cows. Making desserts.
Yaga: ?
The three go out shopping.
Shoko: I’m going to check out the fishing tackle shop.
Geto: I’m going to check out the garden center.
Gojo: I’m going to check out the feed store.
Coming soon: Gojo, Geto, and Shoko’s Noble Academy Dating Game Playthrough
The three problem children from Jujutsu High are inexplicably pulled into a dating game adapted from a novel about a prestigious academy featuring the classic F4 archetypes. They become yet another group of “streamers” playing the game.
To return to their original world, the three of them must achieve the perfect ending in their in-game roles and earn a satisfaction rating of at least 95 percent from the viewers in their livestream.
When they learn that none of the previous streamers managed to beat the game, the three, who hadn’t been particularly interested to begin with, feel their competitive spirits stirred. They accept their in-game identities in just one minute.
Gojo, now playing the poor, pitiful heroine: Hahaha! Even after transmigrating, I’m still the protagonist!
Shoko, now playing the villainous heroine: But you’re a protagonist with no money.
Geto, now playing the villainous hero: And you’ll get bullied, too.
Gojo: …Whatever! I’m still the protagonist! If you guys have money, then I have money!
The game’s restrictions mean the three have to stick to some of their characters’ defining traits.
As the heroine, Gojo sticks to her role of standing up to the powerful and hitting them where it hurts: That all you’ve got? This is a one-punch problem.
The viewers: Hmm… Something seems a little off. But maybe it’s fine? Whatever, with a face like his, he can do no wrong! [Satisfaction rating skyrockets]
Gojo: Heh, easy.
Shoko, as the villainous heroine, sticks to her role of warning and bullying anyone who gets close to her fiancé: (Lifting someone’s chin with a black card) Take this money and get your eyes fixed. Don’t waste a face that pretty.
The viewers: This one doesn’t seem quite right, either? …But we want Shoko to lift our chins with her black card, too! [Satisfaction rating skyrockets]
Geto, as the villainous hero, keeps up his role of hating the F4 and making trouble for them all day long: What a shame. You didn’t die this time, either.
The viewers: This one’s perfect. Though the F4 look like they’re about to fall apart… But the F4 looking so miserable, mmm! [Satisfaction rating skyrockets]
The three go on having the time of their lives in the game, each playing their role as they see fit.
Gojo: What F4? This school belongs to our Shoko!
Geto: Shoko’s here! Make way, now!
The viewers: Ohhh! Shoko’s taking the school by storm! The lousy F4 are only good enough to serve her tea!
Shoko: .
A viewer who just entered the livestream: …Isn’t this game supposed to be a dating game? Or did I get the wrong room?
Theme: A good life is something you have to fight for yourself.
