[Practicing romance scenes; slow-paced. A slightly spooky romance about a couple, and I've already adopted them as my OCs for fun.]
"Ever since I met that Alpha, I've been dreaming. In my dreams, there are days and nights, and streets without black or white. He and I do all sorts of things together every day." Ning Lang sat down in the psychiatric department, holding his head.
The beaked doctor looked up. "What do you do in your dreams?"
"All the normal things couples do. I mean, decorating a home together, running our own shop, feeding the parrot in the shop... Maybe the only abnormal thing is that I put a bowl of water in front of my husband's wooden big brother every day?"
The beaked doctor tilted his head and looked at Qu Zhong. "And what do you usually do here?"
"From eight in the morning to eight at night, we're forced to get involved in other people's karma without missing a single hour. Before ten, we either get interrogated by my father-in-law, who loves us least of all, or get a home visit from the meddlesome principal. After ten, we have free time." Qu Zhong tucked Ning Lang's white hair behind his ear and quietly told him it was getting a little long.
"Is the Alpha your wife mentioned you?"
"Yes. Back then, I was more into wearing goth clothes."
The beaked doctor closed the medical file and pointed his foot toward the door. "You dead lovers think being alive means you can drag people into your little play? Get out!"
That was the everyday life of Ning Lang and Qu Zhong, the famously annoying couple in the city of Wuse. Ning Lang was once the most popular Beta in all of Wuse. Unfortunately, he kept to himself, and anyone who got too close would find him starting to distance himself.
Then this Beta, who got along with everyone and yet wasn't close to anyone, visited the noble school across the road, Iwos, and came away with an intimate Goth Alpha boyfriend.
Ever since he started dating, his personality went out of character, and his goth style proved contagious. Ning Lang shed his cold demeanor, took his boyfriend's arm, and carried a lace-trimmed umbrella as they basked in the moonlight in Wuse, a city without sunrises.
Just as Ning Lang thought he was about to start a happy but ordinary life, an accident during a play made him realize, belatedly, that urban legends were right beside him. He was an urban legend himself!
This time, things got even more out of control. A strange father, a wooden principal, a black sun: everything they had once taken for granted became abnormal. Ning Lang's response was:
"Who cares? Just don't get in the way of me spending time alone with Qu Zhong!"
Beneath the black sun, the two exchanged a hard-won kiss.

Ying Xu transmigrated into a novel as the Heavenly Dao, also known as the final villain. One day, while clearing a rift in the world, he saw the down-and-out Lu Xiuyuan in a dilapidated temple and remembered something from before he transmigrated:
"You, the final villain, died because of the sun?"
Before transmigrating, Ying Xu had taken a job designing scenery for a project and accidentally received a terrible novel written by the buyer. The male lead, Lu Xiuyuan, had an unusual way of defeating the villain Ying Xu, and it gave Ying Xu a sympathetic pang just reading it.
Faced with a plot that made no sense, Ying Xu lost his professional courtesy and left a scathing review. The furious buyer then backed out of the deal. After that, Ying Xu blinked and found himself here, as the villain doing all the harem-related dirty work.
Ying Xu crouched down to look Lu Xiuyuan in the eye. By then, Lu Xiuyuan had passed out from the pain, but he was still propped up on his sword, like a lifeless statue.
"Master..."
"If he wakes up, things will get rough."
Ying Xu cut off his attendant, tightening his grip on the Heavenly Dao Ruler. He had found a way to make the whole world real and return to reality.
All he had to do was make sure Lu Xiuyuan "rests in peace," and the path laid out by the Heavenly Dao would be clear. After all, it was the will of Heaven.
