What Could Player B Possibly Be Up To?

As everyone knows, the boss of Italy's largest organization, Passione, is a mysterious man. Anyone who dares to investigate him is severely punished.

Then one day, everyone suddenly received a message from the boss:

The boss's secretary is about to conduct a surprise inspection.

A second line followed right after: Three minutes from now, hand over all the good stuff. Anyone who disobeys will be killed, keh keh keh.

Three minutes??!

As everyone made their own preparations for the secretary's arrival, the mysterious secretary showed up wearing a trash-can lid on her head, holding a battered but ominous-looking sword, and dressed in a frog mascot suit. She shouted:

"Player B makes a dazzling entrance! Dun dun dun dun!"

At first, everyone thought she was some mysterious powerhouse. For example:

She could rummage through a trash can and pull out an intact, unopened bomb, gold, a machine gun, and a piping-hot lunchbox... even though it was just an ordinary trash can.

She didn't need treatment at all. As long as she ate something, she could heal herself, even if she'd lost an arm.

She could pull all kinds of magical items out of nowhere, despite not having a backpack. Some items could even turn her into an animal. Maybe that's why, one day, they woke up to find a cow-patterned cat nearly tearing the house apart.

She claimed she had changed the boss's diapers, and the boss had never denied it. She also said she had a vampire for a pet.

Some mornings, a Player B might randomly appear at your doorstep. She would silently hand you a present, which was very likely something someone (possibly even you) had lost a few days earlier.

She seemed to be able to read minds. If you felt even the slightest bit of affection for her, she might ignore every obstacle (including your protests) and barge into your home the very next day, even insisting on sharing your bed.

...Wait, could you really call this a "mysterious powerhouse"?

She's a peerless demon lord with the strangest behavior imaginable!

Even though she'll come rolling, crawling, running, or flying to help them the moment they need her, and even though she gives them presents they love, everyone adores this weirdo... she's still a peerless demon lord!

Wen Jie had just picked up a new game.

Before playing, Wen Jie: So the main quest is to team up with the protagonist and fight the boss. Got it.

After playing, Wen Jie: Who's the protagonist?

Having gotten too absorbed in exploring the game's other features and harassing the NPCs, the player had completely forgotten about the main quest.

But that's okay. Even if the player always skips the story, ignores key NPC dialogue, and accepts quests without completing a single one... the player can still beat the game!

Do your best, Player B!

* OOC warning... This isn't exactly a pure romance. The ending will branch into multiple endings. Mainly JoJo. The setting has some similarities to Saiki K., but you don't need to have read Saiki K. to enjoy this. It doesn't follow Saiki K.'s plot.

Theme: Eat well, drink well, sleep well, have fun, study hard, and do your best to live
