[Attack on Titan/AOT] Hopelessly in Love

There was once a legendary mercenary whose age was unknown and whose origins were a mystery. No one knew anything about her past. The only thing anyone could say for sure was that she was a Marleyan.

Since entering the mercenary business, she had completed every job quickly and ruthlessly, earning a perfect satisfaction rating. No matter how cruel or inhumane the task, she could carry it out flawlessly. That was why she was known as a "human weapon." Her only flaw was that she charged too much.

So when the Marleyan government realized that not a single battleship they had sent to Paradis Island had returned, they decided to send this legendary mercenary to assassinate Eren Yeager, the holder of the Founding Titan.

Layla had lost her memory.

People told her that she had come to Paradis Island with her superior and was a maid. It didn't matter that she had no memories, they said, as long as she took good care of her superior.

She hated this place, the people and everything else. So she quietly stayed in a corner, going about her work and praying that one day she would remember her past.

Then one day, she met a man: the one everyone called the "Attack Titan."

From the moment she saw him, her heart, which had always been so steady, began to pound. Her blood seemed to boil, rushing to her head

She felt herself falling in love.

Only later did she find out that it wasn't love at first sight.

She had mistaken the murderous intent she maintained out of professional integrity for a fluttering heart.
