Have You Ever Seen My Wife?

Also known as My Wife Was Reincarnated and Now She Only Cares About Her Career, Not Me

[Married in a past life, master and disciple in this life, with a female master and male disciple]

"After my wife died, I stayed in the mortal world for three thousand years, just to find her reincarnation."

"I searched the mortal world far and wide without success, until one day, during a Sea God's sacrifice, I caught sight of my wife in an immortal carriage from Penglai."

"But my wife was clearly a mortal. How could she be an immortal from Penglai?"

"I followed the carriage into Penglai, but my wife didn't recognize me anymore."

"And that's not all. She said she was going to help me cross over and become an immortal."

"One must be free of love and hate to become an immortal. I don't want to become one. I only want to find my wife again."

Penglai immortal x ghost from the mortal world

Told in third person

SC HE

Note: Dual POV. The heroine follows a cultivation-and-leveling arc, while the hero gets an old-school tragic romance.

Traditional cultivation fantasy, similar to Journey to the East.

(Not a wife-chasing crematorium story, don't get the wrong idea.)

(Here for a little xianxia-style romance between a human and a ghost.)

Theme: Becoming an immortal is nowhere near as wonderful as getting married!
