Description: A girl with an eccentric thought process and unusual vibes x a sharp-tongued, haughty peacock of a man
Wen Zhuochun transmigrated.
After going through the miserable life of never having enough to eat or warm clothes to wear, and having to serve as a sacrifice to monsters, she felt like ending it all.
Just as she was about to find a pillar to bang her head against, a pretty boy in the same cell suddenly drew his sword and slaughtered the monsters, making them vanish into dust. He even rescued her in the process.
The boy was warmhearted and kind. Not only did he take her in, he also made her his junior sister, taught her how to cultivate, and helped her find a way home.
Wen Zhuochun was so moved her eyes filled with tears. She immediately declared loudly, "Don't worry. From today on, I'll be your most loyal lackey!"
The boy said, "You're so noisy. Cry again and I'll throw you out to feed the monsters."
Wen Zhuochun: Eep.
So mean.
Out of kindness, Song Donglin took in a homeless young woman for a while.
But he soon regretted it.
She was an incredibly annoying handful, and there were only two things she couldn't do: this and that. She had no talent for cultivation, and she was so timid that the moment a monster scared her, she'd cling to him and bawl.
He could put up with all that.
Until he started being forced to enter her dreams again and again.
The timid girl was a completely different person in her dreams. She was always saying things he couldn't understand, calling him a hateful illiterate who only knew how to bully young women, and imagining him as a rag doll she could punch twice with a bam, bam.
It was kind of fun.
He found it amusing and would occasionally play along. "Wen Zhuochun, you're so stupid that if someone sold you, you'd happily help them count the money. How are you supposed to survive without me?"
Then one day, she suddenly told him she liked him in a dream and asked if he could go home with her.
He froze and said nothing.
Because it seemed he might like her a little, too.
[Bonus Scene]
After having a strange and embarrassing dream, Wen Zhuochun steps outside and sees the young sword cultivator leaning against the doorframe with his arms crossed, his bright black eyes fixed on her.
His gaze makes her feel guilty, and she can't bring herself to look at him. She asks softly, "Why are you looking at me like that?"
The boy coughs and turns his head away. "I agree."
Wen Zhuochun is bewildered. "...Agree to what?"
"I agree to be with you." The boy turns back to her, his ears red as if they might drip blood, and grits his teeth as he says, "Didn't you say you liked me in your dream?"
"You even wanted to kiss me. When I wouldn't let you, you cried!"
