The Lady and the Young Man

Blurb:

The mountain lord of Wushan unexpectedly dies, leaving behind only his partner, whose cultivation is weak and body frail. Apart from her beauty, she is said to have nothing going for her, and must bear the burden of supporting the sect alone.

While everyone sighs over her misfortune, they can't help looking forward to the spectacle.

When the rumors from outside the mountain reach her, Ruan Qingyue is playing the zither. Its mournful, plaintive notes drift into the ears of the handsome young swordsman across from her. He asks with an amused smile, “Madam, shall I go kill those gossips for you?”

“No need.” Ruan Qingyue corrects him. “You should call me Lady Ruan, not Madam.”

Su Nanxu doesn't care. With a light laugh, he stretches out his long arm and pulls the woman dressed in mourning into his embrace. His long fingers pinch her cheek, his thumb pressing against her soft lips. “There's no one else here. Why keep up the act?”

Ruan Qingyue presses her lips together and says nothing.

The young man's hand moves lower. The woman suddenly lets out a soft moan, her voluptuous body trembling. She scolds him in a choked voice, “You are simply... outrageous...”

“Dear Lady.” Su Nanxu kicks aside the memorial tablet of the former mountain lord and tenderly kisses the woman in his arms. “You can't use me and then throw me away, can you?”

“I am not some foolish dog who comes when called and leaves when dismissed.”

Widow x Mad Dog

I think all the content warnings are already in the blurb...

I haven't decided whether this will be xianxia or a historical setting. If it's historical, it'll probably be set in an imagined pre-Qin era, with the roles of [feudal lord's wife x wandering swordsman].

There's a fairly large age gap.

Theme: I'll write it when I start the story.
