Jason Todd is back from the dead!
Just like in many fanfics, the Lazarus Pit has some serious issues.
Jason soaked in the pit until he grew into a gigantic brute, and just like that, he stopped being human. After his resurrection, he became something like a demon.
And demons have very different diets from humans.
Humans, their own kind, emotions...
To fill his stomach, and in the name of his own justice,
Jason leaves the League of Assassins and sets off on a journey to exorcise demons wherever he finds them, until he's fully prepared to return to Gotham.
Well, actually, Jason just doesn't want to see Batman so soon. He's worried that if he sees Batman, he'll...
Feel hungry, feel lust, feel the urge to kill...
After escaping the madness of the Lazarus Pit, Jason finds it hard to tell these demonic instincts apart, so he needs to keep his distance from the person who stirs up all his emotions the most.
But the world's greatest detective still discovers clues suggesting that his second son may have come back from the dead, and begins investigating.
Meanwhile, after an accident, Superman sees Jason eating another demon.
2.
"He's dead! The thing that's come back isn't your child anymore. It's a demon possessing your child!"
"He doesn't remember you, B..."
"He wants to kill you. He only wants to eat you."
Superman is worried about his partner.
His partner is always biased toward his protégé, and Batman always goes soft on his children.
Superman is afraid the possessing demon will hurt him.
But Batman says, "No, that's Jason."
"I could never mistake him for anyone else."
The good news: Jason isn't possessed.
The bad news: Jason really does want to kill Batman and then eat him :)
Luckily, after Jason and Batman reunite, he quickly finds the best way to "feed" of all...

After Jason returns to Gotham and starts patrolling at night, the others at home ask, looking a little uneasy:
"B... don't you think Jason's a little strange? Like, maybe you two are standing too close?"
At first, Batman doesn't take their words too seriously:
I know he's my son... but he's the one who comes over to cuddle! He said he loves me!
Until some time later.
Batman: Wait, what do you mean you want to kiss me, sleep with me, lie under the moon with me and read Shakespeare afterward, kill me with time and eat me in another way?
Batman, completely overwhelmed:
Yes, I'm so much older than you. I feel for you with the affection and admiration of an elder for a younger person.
Maybe I gave you hope when you were at your lowest, but that doesn't mean you can misinterpret your feelings.
It's the bridge effect. You're just relying on me, I mean...
Wait, stop pulling my pants down!
Content warnings:
1.
Jason/Batman/Jason, with a preference for Jason/Batman. Since I won't write them in bed, positions don't matter.
My Jason and Batman can both be tough or soft. I'll poke fun at Batman's maternal side, and I'll also write Jason crying in bed.
2.
Jason and Batman are not legally related when they get together.
3.
Jason is the one whose feelings change first, and he pushes Batman into a relationship. Batman has strong boundaries and keeps flusteredly turning him down, but they end up together in the end.
