In his previous life, Patrick Bateman was an uncaught serial killer, a bona fide psychopath, and a Wall Street star who looked every inch the gentleman.
There was no doubt Bateman had no inner beauty whatsoever, but somehow he had a flawless body and a handsome face that could fool anyone.
After losing his memory, shrinking, and transmigrating to another world, Bateman could no longer live the way he had before:
Because now he had an older brother, an adoptive brother with the secret identity of Gotham's Dark Knight.
He'd also been saddled with a "superhero" System.
"How did I end up with Bateman? I was supposed to bind myself to Batman!"
The System thought it was doomed. How on earth was it supposed to turn this guy into a proper superhero?
And why was there a Bateman in this world? How was that even possible?!
"Emergency detected. The Host's chance of completing System missions is less than one in ten thousand. Activating assistance mode--
"The most suitable training partner has been bound to the Host."
"Bruce Wayne."
The System said the name.
"...?"
Who the hell was Bruce Wayne?
Ever since he transmigrated, Bateman had heard countless people call him by that name. There was no way the two of them looked exactly alike, right?
2.
Before long, more than ten years had passed, and the System's influence over Bateman remained limited.
After all, it was easy for him to pay lip service: act like he was doing good and completing missions, while actually making trouble!
But he also genuinely seemed like a good person, a superhero, because his adoptive brother Bruce Wayne was a true saint who loved him dearly, and was also a control freak.
So...
"I'm going to kill that bastard! I swear!"
Bateman smashed the TV remote to pieces and yelled angrily at Bruce:
"Big brother, did you hear what he said about me on that show? He said my meticulously designed business card was outdated and tacky! It was designed and made by Gotham's best craftsman!"
"You have to stop funding that Bat! If that guy weren't stopping me, I'd have killed every last person who looked down on me or pissed me off!"
"No, Paddy. You know I won't do that. Batman is right to stop you."
Bruce turned the pages of his newspaper without the slightest change in expression.
Then he said coolly:
"And I remember we agreed that for every person you want to kill, I'll spank you once. Every night, with no limit.
"...Until you give up those ideas for good, or spend the rest of your life like this."
Warnings:
1.
An unusual pairing: Bruce/Bateman.
A story about a good cat stopping his bad, stupid, but beautiful little brother cat day after day. Faux incest, with plenty of taming and being tamed.
They're absolutely not blood-related. They look alike because of the actor joke: Bateman and Bruce are played by the same actor. The thought of two Bateman faces in the same scene was too beautiful, so this story came to be.
Go watch American Psycho!
2.
Bateman is genuinely sick, and genuinely bad. (The novel and movie versions are mixed together.)
He never reforms, and is constantly disciplined by Bruce. He pretends to be good for a long time.
But he isn't without feelings or humanity.
3.
A mix of settings, mainly based on the second movie, with comics, animation, and other material, including the Gotham TV series, all thrown in.
4.
Neither is chaste. They both dated other people while Bruce was traveling, but those relationships won't be described in detail.
Damian appears.
Other people have unrequited feelings for Bruce and Bateman, both men and women. (They're both so popular!)
