The Eternal Intersection

[Role Reversal, Updates Whenever, Not Paywalled, He Takes the Lead First, Then Lin Takes the Lead, In Stages]

In the seventh year since He Zhuo had turned Lin Qingyu gay, He Zhuo cheated on him.

In the fine drizzle, on a damp street corner, Lin Qingyu stood under an umbrella and watched a boy kiss He Zhuo's collarbone. The man who had sworn he would love Lin Qingyu for the rest of his life lowered his eyes and stayed silent for a long moment. He didn't push the boy away. Instead, he put his arms around him.

In that moment,

Lin Qingyu's world collapsed completely.

The man he'd loved for seven years had become the man his mother had warned him about.

Men are rotten by nature. He's just playing with you, and sooner or later he'll abandon you. Those men are good at using sweet words. He'll deceive you, drain you of everything you have, and then leave you when he gets bored.

He Zhuo used sweet words to lead Lin Qingyu down a road of no return, then used more sweet words to make him turn his back on his family.

He Zhuo was a scumbag. He deceived Lin Qingyu and wanted to abandon him.

And Lin Qingyu was pathetic, believing the man's lies and loving him beyond redemption.

They were both base. They were both trash.

But isn't trash supposed to be together?

Then why did He Zhuo want to abandon him and leave?

Lin Qingyu looked away and turned to leave.

That night, in the darkness, a demon reached out and clamped a hand around the ankle of the person trying to escape, dragging him back by force. Then, baring his fangs, he swallowed the betrayer whole.

As their once-intense passion faded, Lin Qingyu's love for He Zhuo only grew, unlike He Zhuo's meager passion. It grew until it turned sour and rotten, and finally drowned Lin Qingyu himself.

And He Zhuo, too.

He Zhuo, He Zhuo, will you treat me well for the rest of my life?

He Zhuo, you broke your promise.
