Covert and Overt Narcissism [Narcissus]

A touch of the supernatural, with the protagonist paired with himself.

At eighteen, Lu Yi is intensely narcissistic. While everyone else is holding hands and kissing, he's admiring himself in the mirror.

At twenty-eight, Lu Yi is severely narcissistic. While everyone else is settling down with a wife and kids, he's still admiring himself in the mirror.

Then, on his twenty-eighth birthday,

he steps into thin air, falls into a sewer, and dies.

At the same time,

eighteen-year-old Lu Yi makes a wish: "Oh, mighty heavens, grant me a gorgeous wife!"

The next second, twenty-eight-year-old Lu Yi falls from the sky and lands right in eighteen-year-old Lu Yi's arms.

Their eyes meet.

Little Eighteen: "The wife Heaven gave me is... myself?"

Big Twenty-Eight: "That's right. But just to clarify, I'm the husband."

Theme: Looking forward to the future
