Western Crossover: The Assassin Was Me All Along

After waking up hungover from celebrating his graduation, Elio discovered that everything he saw was doubled. The illusion made daily life a tremendous hassle, so he went to the nearby Abstergo Hospital for an examination. Doctor: You mean you see people surrounded by different-colored auras? Elio: More precisely, it's a halo covering them from head to toe, so I can't see their faces at all. Doctor: And the whole world looks gray? Elio: Yes, Doctor. How did you know? Doctor: Are the halos red, green, and gold? Elio: Wow, you're a miracle worker! The doctor laughed and ordered a blood test. As Elio hesitated over whether to get it done, he watched two burly men in red walk through the door behind the doctor, which had been left ajar. Elio: Um, Doctor, these two Doctor: You might have trouble seeing where you're going, so I called two guards to escort you. Elio: Doctor, you're such a good person. But I just meant that they look red. ...Wait, Doctor, why have you turned red too? *Please Read Before Starting:* 1. The story may hint at multiple romantic feelings or relationships involving the protagonist, but they will not be described in detail. The main story has no pairing. The extras include a special Assassin and Templar chapter, with a switch pairing, so read according to your preference. 2. This is a mash-up of several works with a heavily altered timeline. It's fine if you haven't read them; I'll explain necessary details in the author's notes. 3. Original Assassins, Templars, and ordinary characters will appear. 4. The latter half contains a lot of material about the first generation of *Katekyo Hitman Reborn!*. **By the way, here's a Western Crossover fic mixing Assassin's Creed, DC, and more, which I'm writing next: "[Western Crossover] You Have a Double Identity Too?" Whether as a student of criminal sociology or a member of the secret Assassin Brotherhood, Julian believes his investigation in Bludhaven has gone quite smoothly. Still, he's run into a few furry problems, big and small. The big one is that the city's superhero, Nightwing, keeps appearing out of nowhere near the places where he goes about his nighttime business, giving the Assassin a massive headache. The small one is that his beloved boyfriend, Officer Grayson, is somehow so busy he can never be found, even when he's off duty. It's all very suspicious, among other things. Sooner or later, Julian will have a proper talk with them. Of course, the Assassin will talk to Nightwing, and Julian will talk to Grayson. As someone with a double identity, Julian has always thought he managed his double life rather well. What Julian doesn't know is that he has only one prospective conversation partner, not two. The superhero of Bludhaven and its star police officer are the same person. He's also racking his brains to maintain his double identity, and it won't be long before Nightwing discovers that his boyfriend and the new hooded Assassin in Bludhaven are one and the same. Whether they'll greet each other with a friendly, “What a coincidence, you have a double identity too?” or silently settle things with a fight, we'll have to wait and see. Theme: Discover yourself and love the world.
