[Western Crossover] Clearing My Monthly Tasks

After narrowly escaping death, Kellers Caro found himself in a different world, and gained a special ability. - A new game refreshes every month. Complete its missions, and you get to keep one game-related skill. It sounded like a grand road to a boundless future. In reality, right from the start he was handed three firearms and dumped in the middle of a desert. His mission log pointed him toward one destination: See that terrorist organization's base over there? Take it down. Kellers: ? Was he supposed to do it with nothing but his thirteen-year-old, malnourished self? Oh, right. He was also a dropout who couldn't even figure out where the triggers were on those guns. Hello, I'd like to report a problem with the mission chain's randomizer. The newbie village has spawned in a deadly desert, with nothing but terrorists for a hundred miles. There isn't even a cactus in sight. If he doesn't want to starve, die of thirst, or freeze to death, then his only choice is to... Take a gamble. - To make sure he never became a helpless lamb waiting to be slaughtered again, Kellers gave everything he had to complete his missions. Whether it meant going deep behind enemy lines alone to blow up a munitions depot, or lying by the Hudson River at four thirty in the morning to fish. Whether it meant breaking into a heretic's sacrifice ritual alone, or "scavenging a corpse" deep in the rainforest and nearly taking Nightwing out with a dose of antidote. Whether it meant doing his best to protect civilians during an alien invasion, or, after the war, skipping school and riding back to the desert on a motorcycle with a black-haired guy wearing a mask shaped like a Nin○tendo controller. A certain (temporary) father figure, who had finally managed to get him out of the desert a few years earlier: ? Rushing here and there, busy day after busy day, year after year. Kellers had seen vast deserts, crossed frigid glaciers, ventured into ancient jungles, and climbed mysterious snow-capped mountains. He'd made enemies everywhere he went, only to hit a level cap in the end. Level 99 Kellers: Fight a level 100 boss? Me? When are they going to fix the balance in this lousy game? * Ten Rings Gang dungeon: [Dawn Over the Yellow Sands] Siberia: [Above the Permafrost] Costa Rica: [Breath of the Rainforest] New York Dungeon 1: [Data Flood] New York Dungeon 2: [Rift in the Firmament] League of Assassins dungeon: [All Things Are Illusions] Bludhaven dungeon: [The Old Chessboard] Gotham dungeon: [Shadows of the Abyss] Star City dungeon: [The Fire of Humanity] Metropolis dungeon: [Silent Overture] Life is a game you only get to play once, and he is the world's only player. Coming soon: [Western Crossover] The Art of Loving an Agent Greta is a strategy and management game player. At her command are armies that fear no death, fleets of warships spread across the stars, and a glorious empire that never falls. She has planned and built a city, a country, even an entire world. She has meddled in human history, manipulated humanity's future, and toyed with the fates of countless lives. But in this world, she's just an unremarkable capitalist. Greta Kalos is a renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist, ambitious and shrouded in mystery. In just ten years, she went from first appearing in the public eye to having Two Point Hospitals, Two Point University, and Two Point Museums spread across the globe. And those are only the things everyone can see. No one knows the true scale of her wealth and resources. Outsiders peek in curiously, but those in the know keep their mouths firmly shut. - Greta has a problem lately. After completing the Two Point series, she randomly got a new game: Stock Market Simulator. Greta has never been interested in simulators, but her ability only refreshes to a new game after she completes the current one. The condition for beating Stock Market Simulator is to become the top-ranked stock market god. So, after staying up all night for a month, Greta was full of confidence, waiting for the monthly rankings to award her a dazzling crown. Then, one second before the rankings closed, the standings changed. Greta: ??? Greta: Damn it! I'm going to take over this country and carve "Merchants must not meddle in politics" into the Statue of Liberty! Fuming and seeing black, Greta grabbed her phone and sent a message to the boyfriend she'd been secretly seeing, issuing a kill order. Meanwhile, Ethan Hunt: Honey, I'm climbing the Burj Khalifa. I'll message you back in a bit... Wait, who did you say you wanted me to kill? - Please note: A sweet little story. Written after watching Mission: Impossible 8, in fond remembrance of the younger, fresher Tom Cruise in the earlier movies. The protagonist can destroy the world with a single planet-busting cannon shot, but in this world she really just wants to live an ordinary life (not really). No-superpower setting. Any American or British shows without superpowers may be included. Sherlock and James Bond are currently planned. Original female protagonist power fantasy coming soon: [The Game Invades, But I Just Came Back!] When Yu Zhao was twelve, a truck sent her hurtling into another world. She thrived there for ten years, then suffered a disastrous defeat in a duel. She closed her eyes, opened them again, and found herself back in her original body in her original world. Her body had spent ten years in a vegetative state, but fortunately it had been well cared for. Just as Yu Zhao accepted that fate had led her back to square one and prepared to start over, the world's consciousness announced to the entire globe: Another world will invade in the form of a game! Either defeat the invaders and raise your world to a higher plane, or become a colonized world and suffer enslavement. Can they back out? Absolutely not! But before Yu Zhao could put her talents to work in this world-spanning war, the deployed [Game Preview Expansion] left her speechless. Ah, those magnificent floating buildings, those familiar customs, those races and classes that sounded damn familiar. Wasn't this her second home, the place where she'd happily spent ten years? * Day who-knows-how-many of the otherworldly game's invasion Forum: Player A: Aah, help! How do I beat the twin bosses in this dungeon? I'm almost out of revives! Player B: Help us first! We spent three months putting together a guide and finally formed a raid party, only to find that the final boss had changed. Has anyone seen her before? Please post her stat sheet! (Image.jpg) (Image.jpg) Player C: I don't know the two people above, but here's some new info. Remember how someone said you could buy on credit from the otherworldly merchant guild if your reputation score was high enough? I can confirm it personally: if you don't pay after three months, you'll be wanted, all your assets will be forcibly seized, and you won't even be able to enter dungeons. Rumor has it the guildmaster was once swindled by a human who ran off with a huge loan, so now they're using bait to catch debtors. Damn it, this is the only neutral organization in the otherworld! Which heartless bastard won't leave the people who come after them a way to survive? They only care about having a good time themselves! Looking at the images in the trending post, Yu Zhao recognized, one by one, the older sister and brother who had raised her, the many friends she'd adventured with, and the poor guildmaster she'd borrowed a huge sum of money from and never managed to repay a single cent. Yu Zhao: ... Yu Zhao: I can explain! She'd just saved enough to pay him back when the enemy killed her. That wasn't her fault! Theme: Cherish life and love living.
