Unlucky, love-struck evil god pursuer x beautiful, heartless love scammer target (You Jin x Chu Luan)
1.
Love 100%, a famous romance strategy game with a huge following.
It's notorious for offering a terrible romance experience.
It got slammed across the internet on launch day:
-- Isn't this a dating game? Why am I being attacked by monsters right away?
-- Why does my romance target start out with -999 affection for me?
-- Here's five stars. That's one star more than you deserve.
Chu Luan, the game's designer, made a life-or-death wager with players across the internet when the game was review-bombed into near cancellation:
[With all due respect, everyone here is a noob. My game design isn't bad. You just don't know how to play.]
Game, launch. Nightmare mode, start!
The players were all waiting to see the show: Here we go. He's about to be lured into a locked room by his childhood friend and turned into soup.
Chu Luan casually glanced at his childhood friend, who was hiding handcuffs behind his back. He acted as if nothing was wrong, rose onto his toes, hooked an arm around the man's neck, and quickly pecked him on the lips. His smile didn't reach his eyes. "Good evening, darling. You worked hard today. I made you some hearty soup."
The next second, his childhood friend fainted in Chu Luan's arms.
Fatal checkpoint cleared.
The players were furious: Impossible! Even if he gets past his childhood friend, there's still the charmingly depraved upperclassman. Just wait. The upperclassman will show his true colors any moment now, chop you up, and wall you into the concrete beside you!
Chu Luan naturally sat on the man's lap. "Senior, there's a dance next week. You'll be my date, won't you?"
The upperclassman stared at Chu Luan's reddened lips, still bearing faint bite marks. "Of course."
Chu Luan leaned closer, his breath warm. "Senior, there's something poking me."
Without changing expression, the upperclassman put away his dagger. "Sorry. We haven't seen each other all day. It missed you too much."
Fatal checkpoint cleared.
The players began to go numb: I don't believe it. The next one is a perverted business partner with a bloodlust. The designer can't escape this time.
Before Chu Luan could do anything, his business partner voluntarily handed over all his weapons. "You want these, right? Take them all. Can I... kiss you once?"
Players: What the hell?
2.
You Jin, a newly risen evil god whose goal is to conquer Earth.
Unfortunately, his bad luck is off the charts, and he accidentally teleports to a strange place.
A bunch of people calling themselves players want to win him over, and to trick him into giving up his heart and body.
You Jin (sneering): Heh. Kill, kill, kill! Slash, slash, slash!
He possesses all the characters in the game, randomly killing one whenever a player enters.
But then a new player enters the game.
He's beautiful, captivating, and nonchalant, and he kisses You Jin unconscious right off the bat.
He also confesses passionately to You Jin every day, and to all his clones.
You Jin: This must be... his muse. His true love has arrived.
You Jin is willing to give up his plan to invade Earth, and even give him all his affection.
If... he would stay and keep him company.
But one day, the little inky-purple-haired one who used to wake up in his bed and kiss him every morning disappeared.
3.
After Chu Luan successfully face-slapped the players across the internet, he took a long, leisurely vacation.
Game, goodbye.
On the second day of his vacation, a mass of black mist slipped in through the crack beneath his door, climbed onto his bed, pinned him down, and pinched his tongue so he couldn't speak.
The shadow's voice was vicious:
"Your darling husband had something to do, sweetheart. I'll be back the day after tomorrow to give you a little baby."
"Do you remember what you said?"
"Even if you've forgotten, that's fine. I'll make you remember, little by little, in the way you like..."
