[Western Crossover] After Being Spoiled by Fanfiction

A comic suddenly appeared on the big Bat's computer. It showed Supes losing his lover Clark because of the Joker, then turning around and taking over the world.

As it happened, a comic also appeared in the little reporter's notebook. It told the story of the big Bat next door losing his lover Bruce Wayne after being set up by Luthor, then turning white-haired and establishing a regime of Lords to rule the world.

At first, neither of them trusted the comics. But after putting on their secret identities and testing each other several times...

Damn it/Rao's sake, that alien/Batman and the little reporter/the big Bat are true love!

They quickly accepted the truth that their world was a comic and resolved to change the ending where the other would wreck the world.

As they took the initiative to get closer, they gradually formed a friendly partnership. The world's finest duo appeared out of nowhere, and the comic's story changed into...

[You'd rather love Luthor than love me!]

Batman: ?

He felt helpless, like someone had spread a nasty rumor about him.

[I really did... love you, Bruce...]

Did... love? The little reporter was stunned.

#Partners are partners. How could they become a couple?

#SuperBat and BatBruce are the real deal! I, the great Batman/Shell Almond, refuse to be the homewrecker third party!

Reader's notes:

1. The comic within the fanfic is a real fan comic, including forum posts. It incorporates weird elements from Injustice, the Dark Multiverse, and other sources, with crossovers and a chaotic mix of pairings. Lots of headcanon.

2. The fan comic contains various pairings, including SuperClark/BatBruce and Robin/Bat, but this novel's pairing is only SuperBat.

3. The timeline is made up. This story begins when the two have just started their careers, and gradually brings the little birds and half-shell almonds home, shooing away regrets and building a cozy family.

Check out this fun preorder about pulling superhero cards: "Drawing Corrupted Superheroes"

After Gotham resident Sock is about to get his head bashed in by the Joker, he awakens a cheat: the superhero card-drawing System.

The card pool automatically generates your hero based on the targets you've encountered, so he's likely to draw a superhero with close ties to the Joker.

Dreaming of drawing Batman to beat up the Joker, Sock pulls a card instead...

[SR: Jokester]

?? Isn't the Joker an unredeemable supervillain? Why is he in the superhero card pool?!

With a face exactly like the Joker's, Sock looks at the Dark Knight, who seems ready to turn him into a clock, and breaks into a cold sweat.

The Joker must have contaminated his card pool, so Sock adds a little Supes and Batman to it...

[SSR: The Devastator]

[I will bring the love and hatred long buried within me, and crush you to dust]

Wait, what the heck is this mutated Bat? Why does he come with a binding catchphrase? Don't smash the Kryptonian rescue dog and the supervillain into the same hole!

[Question: If you're in a superhero universe and bound to a card pool that can draw superhero secret identities, you might not have a comfortable life, but at least you'll be safe, right?]

Sock: Thanks for asking. All the secret identities I draw belong to corrupted superheroes. I'm already about to be crowned emperor and become the boss of a multiverse-wide supervillain organization. So I'd like to ask in advance: how's the internet in Arkham or the Phantom Zone? Do you have private rooms?

Theme: The future will be born from hands held tight.
