Is There Any Hope for the Hero's Party?

After transmigrating into a Western fantasy world, Ian becomes the bottom-ranked student at a swordsmanship academy. He plans to coast along and wait for the end, but then an oracle chooses him as the hero who must defeat the Demon King and save the world

Huh? Me, fight the Demon King? Seriously?

Fortunately, the chosen hero isn't the only one. There are two other members: a healing-type saint and a girl warrior. They both seem pretty reliable.

Ian thinks this is in the bag. All he has to do is hide behind his teammates and coast to victory as a hero in name only.

But the bottom-ranked saint, whose healing magic can turn a minor injury into a major one, and the bottom-ranked warrior, who maxed out her evasion stats because she's too afraid of getting hurt, have the same idea.

So when danger strikes, the three of them stare at each other

Wait, why aren't you attacking?

Hold on, you're a bottom-ranked student too?

Wait, you're a fellow transmigrator too?!

Before these fellow countrymen can even meet and burst into tears, this year's hero party is doomed!

As everyone knows, every Demon King will encounter the hero destined to defeat him.

When the current Demon King learns that the hero party destined to become his enemies has appeared, he looks forward to seeing them overcome countless trials and finally reach him.

But he waits and waits in his Demon King's castle, and the hero party never shows up.

So the final boss leaves his own map, planning to meet his destined opponents ahead of time.

...Then he sees the hero party, made up of three bottom-ranked students, still wandering around near the beginner village, and falls into deep thought.

It's hard to imagine how those three are going to defeat him someday.

The Demon King disguises himself as a human mage and plans to infiltrate the hero party, which is one member short, to learn their secrets.

But he discovers that he seems to have a generation gap with the party. He has no idea why all three of them run off when Ian yells, “Run for it!” He also can't figure out what they mean when they whisper behind his back about “the new male celebrity in the party.”

The Demon King doesn't understand.

The Demon King feels like the hero party is bullying him.
