But the Assistant Knows Everything

The assistant died once.

When he opened his eyes again, he began to know everything.

The assistant knows a great deal: other people's lies, the truth behind murders, and the rules of the strange-tale world.

The one thing he can't figure out is why the detective is so fixated on the strange tales.

The detective is a boring person.

He has a happy family, outstanding looks, more money than he could ever spend, and a mind others envy.

The detective can solve all kinds of mysteries: a culprit's true feelings, the truth behind a case, and the full story behind a strange tale.

So when will he uncover the secret hidden within his assistant?

Detective x assistant

An alternate world, episodic stories, plot >>>> romance.

I drew the cover myself. It's the assistant's character design. (The author has spent a lifetime under the spell of white-haired characters.)

A palate cleanser. I don't plan to put it behind a paywall before it's complete.
